Access revoked for asking pre-sales questions
I'm evaluating data providers for our B2B recruiting platform. I signed up to Netrows and sent standard pre-sales questions on data freshness, coverage, compliance, and pricing. Netrows is a smaller vendor with little independent information online, which is exactly why reaching out with questions felt necessary.
Two of my questions didn't fit their real-time model, which is fair. But instead of clarifying in a sentence, "Felipe" accused me twice of not reading their materials, claimed my questions proved I "was not aware of what [I] signed up for," and revoked my access on the spot.
No clarification. No conversation. Just condescension, then termination, because a prospect dared to ask questions.
A mature B2B vendor would simply reply "our model is real-time only, not indexed. Here's the doc that explains it." If Netrows reacts this way to pre-sales questions, think carefully about how the same team would handle a real issue once you're a paying customer.
