My daughter took the class Chemistry the Whys Behind the Wows with Next Level Homeschool and my daughter absolutely thrived with this experience. Her teacher Mary Middlebrook was engaging and very thorough choosing excellent experiments to teach the points of chemistry in this class. This was an excellent online teaching course and it gives multiple levels of difficulty based on your child. It's perfect for families that want to have a full online or partial online education for their homeschooled child or in a hybrid situation which is what we had. Extremely happy with this online school and will be using again! Thank you so much Mary and Next Level Homeschool!

Both my children were enrolled in the Level 2 of the Etymology of Harry Potter class. Even though they have some Latin, they really enjoyed learning from the class lectures, and they both enjoyed writing the assignments (this says a lot, since one of my kiddos is a reluctant writer). The materials were well organized and the quizzes and guidelines for assignments clear. Even through an end-of-term change in LMS, Miss Hincapie was quick to respond, clear with instructions, and unflustered by the inevitable flurry of emails she must have received. I highly recommend this class for all Potterheads!

The details of the lessons and the depth of information that was provided was beyond our expectations. The teacher was responsive, in a timely manner, for questions and provided clarity when needed.

NLH is our go to for virtual education. Gave our children the structure for what is to come in the future.

It is a teacher who loves her subject and that is clear through her thoroughness on the topics. There was way more in a high school course here than I ever learned in school. The assignments having options help students to connect more and think comprehensively on each week's topic.

My student took Biology Series 2 Level 2. I watch along with my student as he does the lessons. We enjoyed the slides and videos that are included, though many slides include unnecessary rants about pet peeves and cheesy quips that take away from the main topic. I do wish that the parent could have access to the course so we could watch the vidoes or get an idea of what the upcoming assignments will entail on our own time. We learned about cells, genetics, and evolution. The evolution was especially interesting to me, as I have never had much schooling in it. The due dates are very strict, which causes us anxiety and frankly makes my student prone to rushing through the assignment when I know he would love to take his time on it and thereby letting the lesson sink in and learning more. My student did have several assignments which were selected to be promoted on the Next Level socials, which made him proud. But even with that, he still had points taken off for late submissions. I wish that this class was truely more of an "on your own time/schedule" kind of class instead of the strict schedule it follows. One of the perks of being a homeschooler is that we can take vacations when others are in school, but we got so far behind in this class when we took a vacation. The class is quite expensive and we most likely will not take additonal classes in the future.

My 14 yo child enjoyed the Vertebrates 1 class. It is structured well, has opportunities for hands-on experience with the option to watch a video of someone else doing the hands-on activity. He was challenged in a good way. My only issue is around registration and the inability to easily register for multiple classes. Independent classes are separate from regular classes and when you click to register for a regular class, you have to select all the classes you want to register for but doesn't open a new window making it challenging to go back to descriptions. These are all simple technical fixes that would make the user experience better.

My daughter took Vertebrate Zoology Session 1 as her first high school science class while homeschooling. She always made it the first class that she wanted to accomplish each week, said it didn’t even feel like school because it was so much fun, and is really looking forward to her Vertebrate Zoology Session 2 class. She’s really excited about the field trip to Panama but will need to wait until next year when she’s a senior. Thank you, Mrs. Middlebrooks, for sharing your knowledge and passion for science!

Marine Zoology: Invertebrates Part 1 is an amazing class. The learning presentations really resonate with my child. The assignments allow for tons of creativity for the student to learn the way they do best. Clear communication on expectations and grading. A 10/10 experience for our family!!

Excellent curriculum. Good assignments. An engaging choice for homeschoolers needing flexibility. The pacing and deadlines are pre-set, but classes can be viewed at any time before assignments are due. Because my child travels in the car a lot, learning via Next Level Homeschool is frequently done on computer via hotspot on roadtrips. Great subjects & enthusiastic lectures with interactive assignments. Recommend. The only reason for 4-stars is difficulty communicating with teachers. We tried to get a letter of recommendation after student attended 6 classes and were meant with deafening silence! Also, they don't keep records of attendance or grades, so make sure to keep your own records! Grade documents for a class are only available within a 10-day window, so download grades, comments, registration, etc. & save right away for proof (if you ever need it) that your child took the class & did well! Also points are taken off for a discussion missed or lateness and an otherwise A+ can slide into an A- with one slip-up by the student, so stay on top of every assignment especially discussion posts. Otherwise, we remain very happy with Next Level Homeschool for the breadth of offerings, format for independent learning, and exceptional science curriculum. We are grateful for Mary Middlebrook & crew!

My daughter just finished the Harry Potter Genetics class with Next Level Honeschool. I was very pleased with how the material was presented, what was taught, and the feedback that was given. My daughter enjoyed the class and learned a lot. Thank you for a great first experience with Nect Level Homeschool!

Mary Middlebrook's Harry Potter Genetics class was engaging, informative, and challenging. Our student loved being able to choose a difficult level, to be graded, and to challenge himself. He learned a new teaching style, tested his ability to learn the content, master the canvas platform, and learn from a new teacher. We will be back for more!

The class is very thorough and educational. There is a lot of information packed into the course and Mary is a no-nonsense, engaging and funny teacher. "Sea" for yourself!

This was our son's first homeschool experience/class and it gave him the confidence he needed to feel structured and productive in this work! He loved the open talk spaces (and made new friends there!), and loved the content. The assignments were carefully curated and really interesting and diverse! We recommend this class entirely!

Our son loves the format of NextLevel science, with powerpoints he can go through at his own pace, and a variety of options to choose from, when doing assignments each week. He enjoys the occasional humor in the lessons. I love the fact that there are deadlines for projects, weekly quizzes, and I love that Mary does the grading.

Marine Biology 101! I cannot recommend this intro class enough. My child was interested in Marine Biology, after taking this class. He cannot be happier. The materials kept his interest and the homework/projects were so fun!

Taking Marine Biology 101 was really fun and the classes were really interesting and engaging. It didn't go into as much depth as I had hoped but I think that comes in the later more advanced classes.

High school biology is my daughter's first class with Next Level Homeschool. So far she is enjoying it and learning so much information. We look forward to the rest of the class.

My two daughters took a whole year of Marine Biology (2024-2025) and then the oldest went on to take High School Biology(now 2025-2026). She also took a persuasive writing class(2025). They both learned so much and I can’t say enough positive things about the creative format for assignments. The instructors are responsive and helpful. I will continue to recommend and utilize NextLevel for year to come!

My daughter was enrolled in the Marine Biology 101 class and it far exceeded my expectations! This is our 9th year homeschooling and this class has had her more engaged and eager to learn than anything else we have ever done. She loved the structure of the class and she had so much fun with the projects. She begged to sign up for the next class too. Great experience for my budding marine biologist! Highly recommend!
