Travelled 1.5 hours for service appointment to find out that it had not been booked so had to return the following week - asked if a sticking handbrake could be looked at at the same time. When I returned I was told that van needed a new compensator (relatively cheap mechanical part that with proper maintenance should not sieze) - no work was done but I was charged £190 for inspection (on top of service) van was only with them for 2 hours total- I was then sent a quotation for various items totalling just under £1800 - including 2 new tyre that have 4mm tread which have maybe another 15000 miles left on them - not happy at all talk about upsell - Got new Vito on order from Listers at Lincoln happy to travel to get good service.

I have a 2021 Vito. My first positive experience with Northside Truck & Van in Sheffield was at the end of October 2025. When I went to collect something from the parts department, I met Will for the second time – a really friendly and helpful chap. I mentioned to him that the top of the windscreen on my newly purchased van was cracked. Will selflessly rang a few places and helped me sort out the problem – I’m very grateful to him for that.
My second experience concerned floppy parking brake pedal. I met Kane in the service department, who was very nice and polite. Kane patiently and kindly explained all the procedures to me, and after paying a deposit, the van was not only diagnosed but also repaired in no time. Kane and his colleagues said that this service would be free of charge and that the deposit would be refunded to me in accordance with company policy. A big thank you to Kane as well. Just to add I have received the refund.
Based on these two experiences, I think Northside Truck & Van in Sheffield has a brilliant team who are always happy to help. I will definitely be using their services again.

My van was booked in on a Wednesday. I turned up at 9am and was told it would be taken in straight away. Service completed Friday 2pm. I also ordered a replacement door to be collected with the van which they forgot to order.
You can make up your own mind if this is acceptable.

Purchased two 92 AH batteries for my 907. York did not have them so they immediately arranged with Hull branch to drop the batteries over to me at my address in York.!
The service I received from the gent on the phone was a true breath of fresh air. Prompting me to look up the company as i had not been aware of them. From that interaction and reading the reviews without a doubt I will be getting all my future maintenance carried out by Northside. The Gent who took my enquiry came across so knowledgeable and took time to listen to me . Just shows having the right staff in all areas pays off. Thank you.

The customer service is absolutely disgraceful!! Took my van in for a recall, fault on the battery which was a ground earth fault that kept turning the vehicle on when no1 was in it, which drained the battery! Which left me stranded 3 times having to get help to charge the battery so I could start the vehicle.
I got no sorry about this, all on my own inconvenience to take it in and lost 2 days. Then after the 2 days, they would not release vehicle without having me pay £300 because they part blamed it on my head torch, saying it was pulling 3 amp, when was plugged in. I'm an electrician and know this is not possible! The head torch was 5 watt so not even pulling a 0.1 of the 3 amp. Blatant rip off so i had to pay or i would not have got my vehicle back!! Would never use these again after buying this vehicle.

Took my sprinter for some service work doing last week, absolutely first class treatment from start to finish.
Having only used normal garages before this i can never go back to using them.
I will only use Northside in future for any works on my vehicle.
