Avoid Nuffield Health at all costs.

I suffered a slipped disc and was physically unable to walk, let alone step foot in a gym. I provided full NHS documentation, and they initially confirmed my membership would be frozen. Sounds reasonable — until you realise what they actually do.

Instead of properly freezing the membership, they simply extend it, regardless of your circumstances. I made it very clear I had no idea when I’d recover and could not afford to have my membership dragged out indefinitely. Their response? Completely inflexible.

After an exhausting back-and-forth of emails, the best they could offer was forcing me to pay 50% of the monthly fee for months I physically could not use the gym. That’s their idea of “support.”

There is zero empathy, zero accountability, and absolutely no duty of care — just a rigid system designed to keep taking your money no matter what happens to you.

And to make it worse, the gym itself is in a shocking state. Old, poorly maintained equipment, broken machines, and cleanliness that falls well below what you’d expect from a premium brand.

If you ever face a serious issue in your life, this is not a company that will treat you like a human being.

Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere. There are far better local gyms with decent facilities and, more importantly, basic human understanding.

Edinburgh omni is the best gym in Edinburgh by a mile . Staff are excellent,very friendly and welcoming, just wish it opened earlier and some gym members would learn to wipe machines down ( especially bikes ) after use

Thank you to everyone, from the Receptionist to the nurses, the Surgeon, the Anesthesiologist and after procedure nurses and even the young man that brought me a cup of tea and a very tasty tuna sandwich.

I’ve tried several other gyms in Norwich, and Nuffield easily ranks among the best in the city. Its central location is a real advantage, especially if you work in the City. The club itself is bright, spacious, and well looked after, with clean facilities that never feel overcrowded – even during busy periods. There’s a great selection of equipment and classes, and the staff are consistently friendly and welcoming. The range of fitness classes is a standout feature, particularly for someone like me who prefers structured sessions over training on the gym floor. On days when I’m not in the mood for a workout, the pool area is a fantastic alternative – spacious and well-equipped with a jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room. I’d highly recommend it.

Joint pain management programme has been informitive and helpful. Team are great, easy to talk to and patient.

I had a procedure done at Bournemouth hospital they were brilliant dr hickey was extremely helpful he has just discharged me all is well so thank you for all your help

My wife was referred for a Consultants appointment at the Holly Hospital Buckhurst Hill on the 9-3-26 by Southend NHS Trust under the choose and book system.

She was in urgent need of a Gallbladder removal.

On being taken in for her appointment she was informed by the consultant that he was not the correct person to undertake this procedure.

My wife in pain had undertaken a 70 mile around trip and the Holly Hospital could not ensure that she could be seen by the correct Consultant at point of referral.

So much criticism of the NHS but you would expect a private practice to get this this right. No apology either.

All went smoothly. Only difficult period was the evening / night after the operation when pain relief was difficult to say the least.

The hospital was very pleasant. The stuff was excellent. The food was excellent and I had a good experience of having my knee replacement done. And of course the surgeon was excellent

Great facilities, lovely food and the icing on proverbial cake are the people who are attentive, available, informative and reliable.

The staff put you at ease you don't feel your just a number they make you feel you are the only one they are taking care of.

High professional standards. Excellent surgeon and team. Excellent nursing care. Facilities good. Hospital was overall a well run establishment.

Surgery (on the day) went well, not so good since, but all the staff were very kind and attentive, just generally well looked after.
