Opie Oils Avis 805

Bought engine oil from their ebay store, they used fedex for some reason, who then proceeded to deliver my parcel to the wrong address. Opie's Oil have completely ignored me and are refusing to refund me as apparently the parcel was GPS tracked which is completely false.

Ordered oil for my motorcycle. Good price. Well packaged. Arrived promptly.

EDITED to add, as per reply from Opie, it was Fedex sending out wrong information. Delivery was completed today only 2 days after the order. Faith in Opie restored.

Used Opie before and was happy with the service, however, this order of oil and oil filter has suddenly gone from 2-3 days delivery to an update from FedEx saying 9-10 days. Now I'm regretting not just going to the local Eurocarparts store... sigh

This was my first order with Opie Oils.
I ordered 6 Spark plugs, 3 for my car and 3 for my sons. When received only 5 had been sent. Phoned and spoke to a very courteous man who asked if the enclosed order form had been signed as checked. It hadn’t. He said he would send the missing spark plug. I received a follow up email from Opie oil showing they were sending the missing spark plug and also a free of charge car air freshener. What a nice thought, unfortunately when the spark plug arrived also in the packaging was an empty envelope, no air freshener and again a receipt that hadn’t been signed as checked.
Although I have now got the 6 spark plugs the effort and time taken to sort out the mess far outweighs the cost saved. Unfortunately I will not use Opie oil again.

These relays for the RE interceptor were unbelievably cheap compared to other sellers, including the postage. Received in days.
Once again an excellent service from Opie.
I have referred people to Opie because I trust then in supplying quality product and advice.

A terrible experience. I bought a TX 22 75D thermostat, and everything seemed fine until I received it. It was broken, so I sent them a video and photos clearly showing the crack, and they told me it wouldn't affect its functionality. However, that broken piece could potentially block the thermostat if it gets stuck, especially since I paid for a new product. I'm still trying to get them to send a replacement. I don't understand why they're being so difficult about sending a new one, especially since it was such an inexpensive item.

I don't understand how you can say it's okay. Have you seen the photos and video? It's clear the part has a crack and is falling out of place. It can't come like that from the factory, and besides, that part shouldn't be able to move from where it is. Please look at the photos. It's impossible for it to come like that and for Mahle to say it's normal when it's clearly broken and moving from where it should be. The photo is in my Google review if you want to see it again.

Ordered 20L of oil to keep my services on my van on the lower end. Came quick. Good job Opie

From Redruth in Cornwall to me in Glasgow overnight i am very impressed, ontop of that the range of oils is outstanding. The price was way cheaper than buying direct or any other retailer.

No details as it would be too long winded, least to say customer service team went well above reasonable expectations and I have to say well done for surprising me in these cynical times. I have been a customer for some years now, since their product offering was much smaller than it is now and I am pleased to continue to be a customer into the future. All I can say is thank you Opie!

I'm a bit disappointed with Opie really. I've used them many times over the years for buying oils etc for my 2 old classic cars but not had anything from them for a while, until this week and they do seem to have gone "off the boil" a bit. Firstly I placed the order via e.bay and paid for 5 ltrs of oil plus a 1 ltr, the order was accepted and I got a confirmation which then stated the 1 litre would take a week to get here! Had I known this at the outset I'd have got my oil from elsewhere. Then I discovered that they now use Fedex - probably one of the worst couriers in the UK - and predictably the 5ltrs landed here a day late. It was supposed to be here on Tues so I waited in all day for it and then again today with no idea of a time slot - the Fedex online tracking is totally useless. I'm not hopeful about the 1ltr arriving as I've still no idea when to expect that. The 5ltr package did get here this afternoon but the box it was in was falling apart, God only knows where Fedex had kept it. It was absolutely soaked and disintegrating. I'm just glad it wasn't something more delicate. If this is an example of the "New" Opie then I think I'm done with them. Shame, because they used be a really good company to deal with.

I think I will steer clear of Opie oils from now on for parts. I got sent the wrong air filter after I used the parts picker using the registration number. Oil filter was correct fitment but air filter was not. They tried to claim i had taken the time to find a Bosch filter that didn't fit my car however all I did was select quickly what was shown available using my registration. Didn't even offer to send out the correct filter. Poor service.

Used those guys quite a few times, sure thing on a couple occasions had some missing or damaged items, but every time every issue got solved promptly and replacement sent out accordingly.
Also if you are not sure about something ask one of their experts or even call to your dealership to verify oil needed for the far or quantities as website can't know it all. Safe travels and may the cars last !

Placed a order for oil and a filter few days later received 5ltrs antifreeze with a checked picking list with some other person’s name and address was asked to send pictures of item and picking list as I don’t think they have a clue what they are doing …. Said they would arrange collection now a week later still haven’t received my order won’t be using them again 😡😡😡😡😡😡

The customer service from Opie Oils is superb. Great communication, errors sorted quickly (within a couple of hours) I can’t praise the service enough.
It was a pleasure to deal with Chris who understood and sorted the situation immediately.
Prices are excellent too. Save yourself the hassle of shopping around and purchase from Opie Oils you won’t be disappointed.

I have just received an appalling delivery. It was so bad the postman apologised:
Received 1 bent wiper blade and a torn packet that was half the size of the blade - from Rotherham?
I assume the other 3 blades I ordered are scattered somewhere enroute.
I cannot understand how they could even think about sending this.
I have ordered before and the seemed OK, but this is ridiculous.
I have asked for a refund - I will see if I need to fight for it.
