We've recently adopted a 6 month old puppy from Romania, Eeva (Faline). O.U.R. Dog Foundation have been so supportive from start to finish. From the initial contact and advice, the adoption suitability checks, updates from Alina in Romania, updates during transportation of the dogs to the ongoing support, everyone has been amazing. If you're looking to offer a 4 legged friend the chance of a new life, please consider a Romanian dog as they have had such a harsh start to life and are so loving. We have just given summer a home from this foundation and they do the most vigorous checks which to me means they care about all the dogs they have and the homes they go to. From start to finish we was updated at what stage summer would arrive thanks to the drivers as well. Would highly recommend.

The volunteer staff run through thorough checks before starting the adoption process and keep you up to date on everything prior to gotcha day. Our girl has been so well cared for at the shelter and along her journey. If you’re looking to rescue, OURF is such an amazing organisation and they support dogs and adopters long term.

Hello all .I am so very delighted we adopted ziva a rescue .She arrived from Romania well looked after fed and healthy .O.U.R dog foundation romania do a wonderful job rescuing dogs and if need be bringing thrm back to health .we feel very privileged to have been able to offer ziva the home she deserves she is a wonderful addition to our family

I am fostering a older dog from this wonderful organisation. They support you all the way through the process from beginning to end.
They have specialist dog behaviorists should you need them and a forum where the adopters and fosterers can share their experiences and support each other and see how all the amazing dogs are adapting to their new lives.
Cannot praise them enough.

I have adopted the most amazing girl (dog) from OUR. The volunteers have been so helpful and supportive throughout the adoption process. Starting right from choosing the right dog to join our family.
Petra is such a loving dog, and that's all down to the wonderful Alina in Romania.
I would definitely recommend OUR to everyone who are looking to adopt or foster. I know where I will go next time!

I've been considering the idea of a dog for a while, having found myself on my own and with time on my hands, and I just happened to see an appeal from OUR Foundation on behalf of some dogs in Romania. Never one to do things the simple way, I made an application to be considered as a fosterer/adopter. I was given a lot of information initially, and they didn't sugar coat it; rescue dogs can be challenging and they were keen to ensure I was up to the task. I actually had a telephone "interview", which was very thorough, and it has been obvious from day one that the dogs' welfare is absolutely paramount! (As it should be!)
Having been approved, I was matched with a dog, and I found myself enrolled into a WhatsApp group made up of OUR volunteers, foster carers in Romania, and fellow UK adopters, and that has been a brilliant experience. I have never felt so supported in any undertaking...Ever! The volunteers can't do enough to help us through the process, I even have access to a dog behaviourist to consult if the need arises. My new best friend, Bruno arrived safe and sound, and he is currently decompressing from what has been a long and tiring journey for him! He is absolutely wonderful, he already calls the shots, and I really couldn't be happier. Every aspect of the process has been fantastic, and I would recommend OUR Foundation to anyone who thinks they could give a home and a future to an amazing and deserving dog who really needs a chance at a proper life. You really won't regret it.

Poppy is our second adopted dog from OUR. I wouldnt go with anyone else now. How can dogs who have been wild, abused, abandoned, neglected be so so loving and gentle? I put that down to Alina, Luli and the volunteers putting in so much work and tirelessly looking after these dogs with so much care that it restores the dogs faith in human nature. Ok she arrived smelling like an old boot but her nature, gentleness and gorgeous nature is priceless. Here's hoping she settles in well with lots of time and patience and if there are any wobbles along the way theres always volunteers on the group chat to support you through it xxx

We adopted Bubbles from this wonderful rescue in 2024. The process was amazing, they were always around to ask my many questions about how to best integrate her into our lives. Her foster was on hand as well to give me any advice I needed.

As the poor fluff was very nervous when she moved into our home (I was made well aware) they were always on hand to offer me reassurance and advice on how to support her (and ourselves). Bubbles has made such a positive impact on our lives and we can’t imagine life without her now.

They also have an amazing community of adopters who continue to talk to each other. Honestly, it’s not just a rescue but it is also a community of dog lovers.

From start to finish Our dog foundation was very proffessional and helpful. The staff are always there if you have any questions or queries. We got our dog Bonnie from them in October 2024 and she had all her documents with injection dates and stamps. They are still only at the end of the phone if needed x

I couldn’t be more grateful for the support of O.U.R Dog foundation through our adoption process of Azur. Even through a stressful time of trying to get the stumpy dogs a home, they made sure we had all the information needed, answered our questions any time of day. Throughout his journey over to the UK they filled us with updates and sharing the experience with other adoptees made it that much more wholesome knowing we had others to talk to alongside volunteers.

Just a few days back, we welcomed Ivy into our home, making her the second dog we've brought into our lives through O.U.R. This adoption journey was just as delightful as our previous one. The organization ensures comprehensive checks and keeps you informed throughout the waiting period, which is incredibly reassuring. The volunteers' expertise is a treasure trove of support during the initial phase. Ivy has seamlessly become a cherished member of our household, and my gratitude toward everyone involved—rescuers, foster carers, volunteers, and the transport team—is immense. Thank you all for making this possible.

We have been so, so impressed with the level of professionalism, kindness and commitment we have experienced. We adopted Lizzie just a week ago but prior to the adoption, the process was extremely thorough to ensure we were the right fit for Lizzie , she was the right fit for our family , we felt prepared to have a rescue dog and that we were well informed on the process and some of potential challenges.
We were nervous to adopt from abroad but found the communication of UK charities so poor and frustrating that we looked at O.U.R . We are very glad we did as they have been incredible and the support WhatsApp group for all new adoptees has been lovely . It’s like being part of a baby group , all sharing photos and news with each other . Emma and Sarah have been amazing at their communication and so quick to respond to answer messages . We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend O.U.R to anyone and thank them for bringing beautiful Lizzie into our homes and hearts .

Adoption was straightforward and easy enough and I ended up with a sweet fur baby.

We found OUR Dog foundation on Facebook, we had been looking at adopting a dog. Our experience has been the best ever. We adopted our wee Dax when he was just a pup. We got updates on WhatsApp on how he was doing with videos and photos of his siblings. We are still in a chat with the other adopters of his siblings and it’s great to see how they are all coming along. We were kept up to date with his arrival times and when to expect our little one. I would definitely choose OUR dog again, the experience and getting kept up to date, he arrived in good shape and ready to be loved. we where abit hesitant at first but knowing how it works now and how well he is doing has given us the confidence to do it again if we ever decide to.

O.U.R Dog Foundation were amazing. From the first message, right up to our pup arriving they kept us up to date on the process.
Yes, they ask lots of questions, but that’s not just for them, but for you too, to make sure you are fully aware of what you are committing to.
We are so happy with our experience with O.U.R. dog that we have now adopted a second puppy from them.
Best make sure I don’t keep looking at all the gorgeous dogs looking for their forever homes, I’d end up with all of them.

Emma’s communication was fantastic, we did not expect such quick replies from an organisation run by volunteers in their spare time. The screening process is thorough but supportive, and we learnt a lot from Emma as well as getting some great recommendations for resources. The questions were in depth, to make sure our pup was going to the right home.

The journey from Romania was very well organised with regular updates and pics of the dogs. The organisation that delivered the dogs specialised in safe and comfortable travel for dogs and this was evident in the care taken to take our pup out of the van and drop him straight into his new bed.

Since drop off there has been regular contact to ensure us and the other adopters are coping ok.

We feel very grateful that we have adopted through O.U.R dog and put our faith in an organisation not previously known to us. The personal touch and passion of the volunteers makes for a really special experience.

I used the OUR Foundation to adopt my small dog. I had tried other charities and found them to be extremely difficult to deal with as their requirements were impossible for me to adhere to.
The OUR foundation were thorough, fair, friendly and helped me to adopt a beautiful little dog - the whole operation from first contact to delivering my chosen dog was wonderful. They gave me time to pay the adoption fee, which, as a pensioner, was really helpful. I had video calls with them, so knew who I was dealing with at all stages of the process. Once the dogs were on their way to us we were kept fully informed of their route and times to expect our dog. Even emailed training manual to help us to acclimatize our new family members. My dog arrived just after midnight and everything went so smoothly I cannot praise the organization and all the staff I dealt with highly enough. I would recommend them to anyone thinking of saving one of their dogs and giving them a loving forever home. Thank you one and all. You have brought joy into my life after a very difficult year.

Fabulous Charity - I adopted my dog from here in 2023. The entire process was smooth and the suitability test was thorough. This is a organisation dedicated to helping animals and one worthy of support.

We adopted Ivy a few days ago. She is the second dog we have adopted through O.U.R and this experience was as positive as the last time. The checks are thorough, you get updates whilst you are waiting for them to arrive and the wealth of knowledge from the volunteers is invaluable in the early days.
