Glasses are fabulous, I'm known for breaking almost every pair I own, not in this case! Stylish, lightweight and perfect sun protection, thank you guys

Not Worth the Price – Overhyped and Underdelivered
I purchased Owly reading glasses after reading many positive reviews, hoping for a quality upgrade. What I received was disappointing — the glasses felt no different from cheap versions I’ve bought online for a fraction of the price.
Pros:
✔️ Nice packaging
✔️ Fast delivery
Cons:
❌ Frame feels flimsy and plasticky
❌ Quality no better than budget alternatives (e.g., Taobao)
❌ Overpriced for what it offers
❌ Misleading premium branding
If you’re expecting a substantial difference in comfort, durability, or design — this isn’t it. I don’t recommend the product unless the company addresses its quality gap and better aligns marketing with reality.

To clarify, our reading glasses are specifically designed to be incredibly thin (just 7mm), ultra-lightweight (14g), and minimalistic - offering maximum portability and comfort, making them easy to carry and travel with. Because of this intentionally lightweight design, we understand how they might feel flimsier than traditional glasses. However, they're made with TR90 frames and polycarbonate lenses - materials known for their flexibility and strength (polycarbonate is even used in safety glasses).
Many of our customers - now over five thousand - have shared how their glasses withstood pressure, were accidentally sat on, or survived drops without breaking. We've even tested them in durability demos with bricks!
Additionally, Owly glasses have no exposed screws or hinges, which are common failure points in bulkier, traditional frames.
That said, we understand that the minimalist design might not suit everyone’s preferences, and your feedback is important to us. As a small and growing company, we are able to and are constantly listening, learning, and iterating batch by batch to improve the product and experience.

DO NOT ORDER
I recently placed an order for reading glasses from Owly Eyewear. I followed the instructions for ordering the right strength then placed my order. The glasses were received quickly. But was disappointed when I tried them on and could not read anything with them on.
I contacted them the same day I received them via email.
They suggested that I forward them a recent prescription to fix the problem. I told them my prescription was several years old so I just want to return them & get a refund. I was then told they could only refund me 50% because of the international shipping.
This is my fault...I should have never placed an order from a United Kingdom company. Usually I do not do this, it was an oversight on my part.
I do not recommend this company. I am sorry I ever heard of this company.

Stylish and smart
Stylish and smart. I love the design of these glasses. They are thin and light and I can easily put it in my handbag. I also find that the lenses are very clear and the blue light blocking coating on the lenses have helped me reduce my eye strain from using screens all day, and also it has improved my sleep quality!
