We regularly compare our pricing against other specialist cycling travel insurance providers, so we’re confident our policies remain competitively priced for the level of cover provided. Theft of general baggage items is covered. Bike theft isn’t covered under the travel policy itself, but this is something we can cover through our separate bicycle insurance policy if required. Good cover
Our 2nd year with Pedal Cover.Still reasonably competitive on price.Had to make one claim which was reasonably straight forward process.Would have been nice to have had a follow up call to make sure everything was ok.Maybe something you should look at it would have made it feel a bit more personal rather than just another person which I found a bit disappointing.Otherwise everything straight forward to renew our policy

Unfortunately, our insurers had a rate increase back in October to cover increased costs across the board.
THATS A 36 percentage increase in premium!!!! Passed on to the customer unacceptable

Hi Roger, we completely understand that the renewal increase can feel significant, particularly when you have not needed to make a claim. Insurance premiums are influenced by a range of factors, including increases in claims costs across the book, rising material and labour costs, and higher property rebuild values. As with all insurers, these increased costs are reflected in the premiums paid by policyholders, allowing the insurer to maintain the funds needed to support claims when they arise.

Highly recommended
Much cheaper than getting bike insurance on previous household insurance, or as standalone policy, and the cover is better too. Also a discount for cycling UK members. And they are super helpful on the phone.

Excellent Service
I have been contacting Pedal Cover regarding home and cycle insurance for quite a few years now, and have been given lots of valuable advice, cost savings tips etc during that time. The staff are always very friendly and helpful, so it was a pleasure this year to finally accept their quote, which was perfect for my needs. The quote is easy to do on line, and the Podium policy gives a high level of cover and is very competitivly priced. Excellent service all round.

Getting pretty expensive, and commitments on bikes are vague
Quotation received for a renewal wasn't upheld when I renewed online. I was charged £20 more! The premium seems expensive for a small, 2 bed house. I've had to insure only my very best bikes for which new-for-old is meaningless when the most expensive of them is nearly 20 years old now. I will be shopping around next year.

The premium had increased by £20 compared to last year, so it may be that you were comparing it with last year's price when reviewing the renewal documents. It's also worth noting that the premium still represents really good value for the level of cover provided, particularly given the wide range of benefits and protection included within the policy. Excellent service from Pedal Cover
Unfortunately, my bicycle was stolen during a violent robbery, which was obviously a very stressful situation for both myself and my son.
From the moment I submitted the claim, Pedal Cover handled everything professionally. Kien dealt with my claim and was excellent throughout the whole process. Communication was clear, I was kept updated, and whenever further information was required, it was explained properly.
Once all the necessary evidence had been provided, Kien also took the time to discuss different replacement bicycle options with me and looked into whether they could source the models I was interested in.
In the end, the claim was settled by cash payment, allowing me to choose and purchase the replacement bicycle I wanted. The funds arrived exactly as advised.
You always hear negative stories about insurance claims, so I think it’s equally important to give credit when an insurer handles a genuine claim properly.
Excellent service from Pedal Cover and especially Kien, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to other cyclists.
