I had a previous job with this company, install of a sprinkler system 2 years before. It wasnt bad but not excellent, they left trash and didnt fill the trench lines that later sunk in and left my yard like an obstacle course.
The ladies in the office were terrific and assured me things would be corrected, so I contracted to extend the sprinkler system to back yard, adjust all sprinklers, level the yard out front and plant 12 trees down one side of the home.
I had to pay 50% down but they were going to schedule me soon....NOT...I was put off and put off.
Finally they arrived to do the work. After unloading and starting work I was advised they decided to plant a different tree !! one that was very similar. ???? Im still thinking well they probably know best right? I wanted something good for the birds, evergreen and good for the enviroment. I was advised the tree they picked was the same type.
I found out later the trees they planted were wrong for this location. They should not be planted near homes/people if in large groups as they are high nectar producer and will attract wasps and bees. Not good to plant close to home in a hedge.
They planted the trees in just big enough holes to get the root ball in, using no planting soil. They dropped them in and covered with some really bad old mulch.
Fungus was everywhere within 3 days.
Not only did they use this mulch on the trees but they put it in every bed I have in my yard and around every bush I had. I did not ask them, nor give them permission to do this. I had to dig out all that bad mulch as well as my good soil and mulch that I had done previously. Not only more work for me but such an expense when I had to pay them the day they finished as agreed.
They didnt bring in the sand and level the yard, and they covered sprinkler heads with sod. I called the office and told them and they were to return and correct again I had to wait.
They returned to correct these items but didnt, they turned my water onto my system without opening the lines and cracked my sprinkler back flows. They ran so fast away, not here 5 minutes and didnt tell the office what they did. The workers lied saying they found it was frozenup and cracked. I just happened to uncover it that very morning and checked it thoroughly and it was not cracked at all. I went back out after the office called me and told me what the workers said and saw clearly and plainly the cracks! that were NOT there 1.5 hours earlier.
Knowing now, that the workers could not be trusted at all, feeling like they damaged my sprinkler system on purpose because I had complained I decided to ask for a refund for the items not done and not let them back on my property.
Then I get a call from the Owner, on my VM. Evidently the lady in the office let him know the poor job I had received. He was willing to redo and come out himself and use this as a teaching moment per his VM. I wasnt sure I could trust that however I agreed. When he calls back he speaks to a family member and tells them I owe them more money!!! what! That I received these gigantic trees that are 150 each!! What! It seems the owner isnt aware of what is going on.
Once that he is made aware he still offers to correct quickly.
Well that changes and Im put off again!
Ive got the message loud and clear. Once they have your money they will do as they please paying no attention to what the agreement states. Your time is not as valuable as theirs, and if you complain they will come out and do more damage to your property.
The workers cant be trusted to do a job without supervision and this company goes back on their word.
I have asked for a 50% refund and dont want this company back on my property. I think that is fair and minimal considering Ive had to redo everything and pay another person to fix my sprinkler back flow.
Folks, I would be remiss if I didnt mention this freeze we had. You guessed it...those trees died! the only thing that died was my plants that were in pots and those trees they planted without soil. I covered everything I had in the yard and all the plants I had in the ground that I planted survived!
I have replanted, re-soiled, re-mulched but with smaller plants because I just dont have the money to do as I had paid them to do for me.
Buyer Please Beware! Im retired, live on a fixed income and that 2500.00 I paid them took me 2 years to save. They dis-respected that hard earned money and my time when they did all this damage and kept putting me off. Customers do not mean anything to them or your yard.
I do not expect them to refund me at all but if they do me right I will post it here. I think its the least they should do.
Just to add, when I first had them do the work 2 years ago, the girls in the office called and said If I gave them a good review they would drop off 6 flats of flowers and asked me what color I would like and perinnels or annuals. They never fullfilled that either.
So Sad!!!!
