Fantastic Boatyard & Marine Service
I’ve used POD Marine’s boatyard for the last number of years. I find it very safe, very efficient, and easily accessible anytime I need access. The team are really friendly, and they provide a fantastic service at a very reasonable price.
Anytime I need engine repairs, boat repairs, or servicing, even better, they can do that as well.
I couldn’t recommend them more highly, and we’re so lucky to have such a fantastic facility near us all in Dun Laoghaire.

Mooring experience
1. Good safe, sheltered boat basins, with secure gated access and camera monitoring throughout. Boats are sheltered from the prevailing winds and storms.
2. Fuel available on site, with a pump out facility .
3. Reliable electricity supply to the boat fingers.
4. Engineering facilities available on site.
5. Floating fingers to cope with changes in lake water levels would be desirable. However the yard can monitor and adjust the mooring lines if necessary.

Great Support from the Parts Team
I have had repeated contact and excellent support from Mannix and his colleagues at the parts team. My Volvo Penta marine engine is quite dated and OEM parts sometimes tricky to locate. POD are definitely the first port of call...recommended.

I got a starter battery friendly
I bought a starter battery, undercoat and toplac paint in the chandlers, very friendly and very nice coffee.

Gearbox fixed
Arrived in Dun Laoghaire marina with the boat stuck in gear. Contacted Pod Marine who quickly sent an engineer to diagnose the issue. They had parts in stock to fix the issue and did so the next day. Great organisation from the office and a very knowledgeable and friendly engineer fixing the issue all resulted in a great service from them.
