Nick was extremely helpful with an older order we had placed for a member of staff. We purchased a drill which unfortunately stopped working just after the warranty had expired.
I emailed on the off chance to see if there was anything that could be done, and instead of simply saying no, Nick took the time to offer help and advice when he really didn’t have to. That level of customer service is genuinely appreciated.
When we originally placed the order, the website was easy to use and the tool arrived quickly and safely.
Thanks again Nick — your help was very much appreciated.

Worst customer service I have ever received
I visited with my boyfriend just 5 minutes after opening. We were the only customers in the store. From the second we walked in, the staff member was rude and completely uninterested in helping us even though we were there to buy more Milwaukee bits.
At the till, as we were about to make payment, my partner asked “do you do a cash price?” The staff member immediately said no (fair enough – not everywhere dose ) and then the staff member went on to say “not paying VAT is why the country is in the state it’s in.” It was brief but made us both instantly uncomfortable – we just wanted to leave.
I don’t think personal political views should be voiced while trying to upsell products. The showroom is lovely, but this was the worst customer service I have ever received. Such a shame the staff are so rude.

Visited Powertoolsgb recently and the customer service was terrible.
The showroom itself is nice and they have a good Milwaukee display, but the staff completely let it down. I was browsing before buying (which most people do when spending decent money on tools) and the salesperson was pushy and making snide comments about how long I was looking around. At one point he said “I’d hate to go clothes shopping with you,” which was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. He also started making random political comments about the country which had nothing to do with anything.
This isn’t even the first time I’ve had a bad experience here either. On a previous visit I asked if they price match as I’d found a Milwaukee Packout box about £25 cheaper elsewhere — roughly £150 in store vs £125 delivered next day from Powertoolmate. The response I got then was rude and dismissive.
Two separate visits, two different staff members, same poor attitude. It’s a shame because the showroom is good, but the customer service is enough to make sure I won’t be coming back. After the attitude I received, I’d genuinely rather wait a week for something to arrive from somewhere else than spend my money here.

Needed to buy a 60cm hedge trimmer as a present, my father in law had seen mine 😂
Item arrived new but in a box that had been opened and stripped of other items and then duck tapped back up? Really?
Emailed the seller to be told it’s only a box, and the tool is inside, I would need to return at my own cost.
Not ideal as a gift ….
Do yourself a favour, don’t buy from here and don’t bother emailing otherwise you will get a sarcastic response.

Bought a Milwaukee M!* FOB Brush Cutter. It arrived promptly. Bit concerned that the box had been opened but everything appeared to be there. Upon closer inspection of the box I saw that Powertools GB had stripped out the two M18 8Amp High output batteries and charger unit and then sold it bear. A little naughty.
The tool certainly worked well as I used an 2 x 5amp batteries first which appeared OK. Then I used a new 3amp high output battery which ran out within ten mins (all used on low setting) When this battery ran out I could not get it off the unit for maybe ten mins. When I got it off I saw the battery had melted. I inspected the five amp batteries and saw one of those had started to melt.
I phoned Power Tools GB (twice as they were too busy) the guy there said it was my fault for not using all 8 amp High output batteries. Will only refund my money if I pay for shipping back to him and will not do anything about my melted batteries.
Then he said as it is a professional tool normal trading Standards policies do not apply. Also said it is normal practice for retailers to strip out batteries to sell on and then sell the bare unit which is what I paid for so what am I complaining about.
He suggested waiting seven days and then take it up with Milwaukee who would pick it up free of charge and inspect it and replace it if was found to be faulted.

Wonderful Service
We have been buying tools from Powertools GB for years and in that time I have always found Nick and his team to be unfailingly efficient, polite and accommodating - providing a service second to none.
On one occasion, a tool we needed urgently was held up by the courier and a replacement was hand delivered to us, so we would receive it in time.
We would never go elsewhere.
Ordered a power tool, wish that I didn't...
Ordered a power tool with the incorrect one delivered, attempted to return for the correct tool but was told would be a charge of £30 for shipping and admin fees (despite us paying return shipping costs). Would not accept a return unless I prepaid for the correct tool before returning.
Awful customer service, argumentative and would advise to buy your goods ANYWHERE ELSE.

bad experience.
ordered a circular saw on saturday, on tuesday emailed to ask for an update as i had still not recieved, Nick was prompt and replied, telling me it would be delivered the next day, a delivery was made, a spanner (which I hadn't ordered )but no saw, rang them and the guy I spoke to was rude and said mistakes happen, they said they would deliver that night and pick up the spanner, I emailed Nick and asked if it was easier to refund, he agreed, told me to keep the spanner and an email saying refund done, (this time not in a nice way) this was my first experience with this company and would not use again, staff attitude is very important, very rude.
Missed a parcel because I was in a road…
Missed a parcel because I was in a road accident. Asked if I could re order it or they resend. Only option they gave me, deduct £25 off a £75 item and refunded me the £50. So lost out on 33% of my money. Happened to another parcel last week from another company and they understood my circumstances and resent the item free for me.
First and last time I'd use these

Tools where delivered on time.
