I bought a Pride-I-Go lite electric wheelchair. I've had nothing but trouble with it. It was sent back to Pride within the warranty period but they refused to admit there was a problem. It did function but I did not feel safe in it as it rolled on, the brakes were slow to respond but I used it as my travel chair when flying. It has now broken down completely and is out of the warranty period. I found Pride Mobility as a company completely unhelpful and having paid £1600 for a wheelchair that I have barely used and is now completely non-functional, I would never buy a Pride product again because of their very poor customer service and poor quality products.
Incorrect description of mobility…
Incorrect description of mobility scooter . Beware if thinking of buying s pride colt deluxe 2 mobility scooter it states off board charging which led me to believe (as going off other scooter descriptions and meaning of off board charging it can be charged off the scooter inside) which is why i bought it . You cannot . The charging port is on the scooter tiller not on the battery box so impossible to charge inside if cannot get scooter inside. Description needs changing . An expensive mistake in purchasing this scooter, caused by incorrect marketing . Not a bad scooter for those who are able to store inside
What real shame
What real shame, this chair would be great if they sorted VivaLift. I purchased this chair as it had the the ability to control it with the VivaLift app, as I cannot use my hands and was going to use the app with voice control software. But as the chair left the factory with it connect to another device, I cannot connect to it.
This is a known problem and been reported but as of yet no action has happened to reslove it. So be careful when you buy it and checked at delivery you can connect to it, not all chairs have this problem.
Customer service rude and non helpful.

We cannot help was the reply!
***AVOID*** STEER CLEAR
Bought a new Pride mobility scooter for 91 yr old with Parkinson's. Battery has failed after 7 months. Warranty on battery is only 6 months. What a disgrace. So upsetting and they want £400+ for a new battery. You have been warned!
I purchased a Pride Jazzy Air 2 in 2025…
I purchased a Pride Jazzy Air 2 in 2025 and found that the controller worked at full speed even on the lowest settings which meant that if you tried to inch sideways it just sent you spinning into everything I contacted the dealer Ableworld they collected it and kept it for 2 weeks when I got it back it was exactly the same they said they would contact Pride and get them to program a new controller and they would fit it and send mine back but they wont return my calls and if I get through to them they say they will phone me back but never do so I am stuck with a dangerous wheelchair that is virtually useless I would advise anyone interested in electric wheelchairs to not use or buy a Pride one
The hand control on my rise chair is…
The hand control on my rise chair is malfunctioning. The handbook says to replace it. BUT how their website has a non functioning phone number. The chat line says it can't help and doesn't connect to a live agent even when it says it does. They only seem interested in selling you new products
AMENDED REVIEW
I am amending/adding to this. I eventually got a response to the sales line form that I filled in with my query, and this directed me to a local supplier. I contacted them and within a couple of days, he had come round and fitted a new hand control. The remote cost £65 and there was a £30 charge for fitting it. I could have easily fitted it myself if he had told me how to unplug it, but considering it was also delivered (a 15-minute drive from the shop) and I am currently unable to drive it was worth it.
I will see if I can amend my one-star rating to 3. It remains no higher than 3 because of the appallingly poor information on the original website, lack of working chat line etc But eventually they came through so the 3 star.
Support of Dodgy dealers
Trust pilot does not let you give less than 1 star, but in actual fact, the powered wheelchair is quite a sturdy product, so 1 star seems fair. Sadly, the customer service falls very short and in the worst way. They heavily depend on a network of dealers to sell and service their product, and this means they are only as good as their dealers. The dealer that sold my parents a ‘Pride mobility’ powered chair is overpricing the product, selling second hand chairs as new, he intimidates the most vulnerable of people, both over the phone and in their homes, took payment by very questionable means. The dealers paperwork and warranty details do not meet the basic legal requirements and this was pointed out by Trading standards and they are further investigating the case. I relayed this information to ‘Pride mobility’ who apparently had their ‘area sales representative’ (I’m sure he was impartial, and not concerned about his own sales figures?) look into the case, but did nothing and didn’t address all but one of my concerns, and it wasn’t the bullying of 80 year old people! By association of the worst type of sellers / dealers - Pride mobility endorse their practices, and should be avoided - BUYERS BEWARE!
Be aware that the manufacturer warranty…
Be aware that the manufacturer warranty doesn't start when you purchase from retailer...it's from when the retailer took possession of the item...make sure to check how long item has been on shelf at retailer before purchasing!!! 6months I have had my wheelchair and it has broken and they won't fix it as their warranty started in 2023 when retailer took delivery of chair
Absolute Joke of a Company
Absolute Joke of a Company No Customer Service Whatsoever. They wont talk to the Customer only the Dealer and When the Dealer Contacts them they can't get a straight answer off them. Happy to take poeople's Money but can't Deliver the Goods. I couldn't leave no stars because even 1* is too good !!!
Poor quality, poor service.
Having purchased a Wrangler and the motor blew after a few weeks I should of known better. Got one of their Baja Bandits, the brakes just didn't work "they're all like that mate". Indicators won't cancel, the suspension squeaks & rattles and the steering joints have more play in them than a pre war lorry. Sorry I can't recommend this company to anyone, waste of money.
If I could mark it zero stars I would.
Bought son a pride jazzy air 2, £3,000 a few years ago, great machine, goes up and down and worked well until some inconsiderate car driver covered it, and son, in rainwater last summer after driving through large roadside puddle. Since when, after three different supposedly expert Pride engineers (cowboys) tried unsuccessfully to return it to it's previous good working order he has now given up and will try a different manufacturer. - Last November after trying and failing to have someone from Pride return it to normal working condition he wrote to their UK HO they suggested it be seen by their 'top' engineer. He supposedly did a 'full service' in November 2024 charged for new batteries etc., and early January it broke down in town and he waited more than three hours for a taxi to return him and the chair home through insurance. Engineer came to check it and assured him it was ok. Son headed out within hours of the engineer leaving and had to recall him when the chair once again stopped metres from home, engineer decided to take the chair away. After three months of no chair and numerous phone calls, always made by son and usually none returned. It was returned, son says still not working properly, going slow when it should be travelling at normal speed. Excuse after excuse, he has come to the conclusion that Pride just want to sell the product after which the buyer can just whistle.
bad service
I recently decided to get a mobility scooter as I cannot walk unaided. I looked through the Motability catalogue and decided on a Pride Colt Twin Model. Unfortunately, my local dealer told me that they were not available!!! It seems that the dealer has decided not to promote Pride scooters because if parts are ever required, the delivery is very slow, leading to complaints from customers. I myself chose a scooter from another manufacturer.

Pride mobility rubbish
I leased a pride mobility 2.0 delux on the motobility scheme … it was brand new … I was so happy to get it .. now 8 months on it has turned out to be a nightmare .. batteries had to be replaced after 12 weeks and the scooter stops in the rain , now it keeps stopping every 100meters or so and has to be reset … the worst product I’ve ever had
No response for an emergency broken remote.
I've been trying for a week to get a remote replaced that failed on my husband's Merino 660 Dual Motor Riser Recliner. The remote failed to work while we were trying to get him out of the chair and I had to lift him out of the chair by hand. He is 94 years old, I am 80. I've asked to have a replacement sent, but through four phone calls and as many emails I have not gotten through to anyone to help. I was referred to the Parts department, and they never answered their phone. We have managed to limp along by having someone look at it and try to get it working. It sometimes does, but we never know when. No response from this company. I would like to know their home office so I can properly discuss this. 29 August 2024
MOST UNHELPFULL
Most unhelpful when you phone for advice . Disgraceful way to treat customers.Waiting three months for parts is totally unacceptable. Will never use Pride again.
Also since I bought the machine ,it has been bleeping when going up and continues to bleep until it goes down. Eventually when I got through to pride they told me to get an engineer. After seeing three engineers with special equipment it still bleeps, they couldn’t do anything about it. You couldn’t imagine how agrivating this noise is. Thumbs down yet again.
Pride accepted an order knowing they had no stock
I ordered a scooter from a dealer and they put the order into pride that day saying it would be about a week for dispatch. I called the dealer several times and they emailed Pride to find an ETA each time. Finally, two days before I needed it the dealer finally got fed up of emails being ignored and called pride to be infoemd they were out of stock and had been for the past two weeks - that is before the dealer put the order in and pride accepted the order knowing that they couldn't honour it.
Pride Mobility UK Review
This is a proper fly by night outfit. My experience was truly shocking, they wriggle, squirm & use every trick in the book to shirk their lawful obligations, customer care is an alien concept to them. Seemingly they think all disabled people are stupid and are fair game to be ripped off. I could not recommend this company or it's products to anyone, once they've took your money, its all over.
My igolite failed 4 weeks ago
My igolite failed 4 weeks ago, I contacted the dealer today and they are being quoted the end of July for the part replacement. Totally unacceptable.
Was ok when I bought it but it then…
