Perfect for the price. Not too far from the city centre. Nice and clean. No issues.

The accommodation was cozy and very clean, kitchen was well equipped. The host was helpful and responsive. We really enjoyed our stay here. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

We had a lovely time here, everything was close to each other. The beds were massive, kitchen and living area were as described. We will definitely staying here again for sure!Absolutely love it and would highly recommend. The host was 10/10 with communication!

*UPDATE* The company responded to this review by saying my reservation was cancelled "due to previous violations of our non-smoking policy by this guest". That's incredible to believe as we'd never been to Cardiff, nor Wales or the U.K., before this summer, and this was our first interaction with this company. Needless to say we dodged a bullet by staying someplace else -- thanks for saving us the hassle. Sometimes things work out in the end!

*Original Review* Made a reservation via Booking, and a week later, the reservation was cancelled by Property Promise without any explanation. Based on the other reviews here, maybe that was for the better...

This was the worst place that I have ever stayed in with a host who is very unresponsive. I travel for work and for the past two weeks the property was in total disarray, the heating was on the floor and appeared to have been ripped out of the wall, there was an overwhelming smell of marijuana and there was no light bulb in the bedroom as well as a noisy fire alarm. No offer to partially refund for the first week.
2nd week, I arrived to check in at 4pm on the dot and there was no electricity. When we called the management it turned out that all calls are now managed by a call centre in India which was very unhelpful considering it’s very cold and I’m asthmatic. There was no care or any consideration for the issues we had and I would never recommended this place to anyone, they only care about money. Not to mention that the smell of weed was from a stub that was not noticed by the cleaners but only discovered it when checking out where I received a threatening email stating that I was smoking in the property- I have never smoked a day in my life. They took no accountability for this as well.Worst experience ever. Property cleanliness is way below par.

Avoid Thesiger court.
The carpet in the living room is disgusting and a completely different colour to under the rug. The middle bedroom bed is broken and both mattresses are covered in stains, there’s a build up of dust on the floor which clearly hasn’t been hoovered for weeks and what appears to be sick on the carpet. Outside the kitchen window there is litter and rubbish, there’s cabinets have liquid stains and the windows are filthy. The shelving in the bathroom has not been dusted, there’s grime around the bathtub and skirting.

24 Carlisle street Cardiff, Very unsafe, false promises on description, no basic toiletries, no service upon reporting issue, 3 attempts of break in . We had to call cops, suspicious activities next door. All made up reviews on booking.com and pathetic service property agency ( property promise) don’t respond to calls. We were terrified with 3 kids.

Awful experience. Stayed in Oxford Lane Cardiff, property was unclean. I left some clothes behind by accident in a cupboard. Property promise asked me to send £10 via air b&b to pay for postage for their return. I never revived the clothes. Still a year later have sent a few messages and to no avail. Just blanked. Terrible terrible customer service. Will never stay again.

Slum landlords. Absolutely disgraceful. Should be prosecuted. If there was an option to upload photographs, I would do. I can barely describe how bad this landlord is. Stinking, crawling, unsafe, no utilities, barely ahh furniture. Gas leak. One of the walls had literally fallen down! Tried to discuss with landlord, who advertises via Booking.com, AirBNB and own website: blanked. Any reviews are fraudulent. Reported to the Council. Legal action being taken. Worst of the worst slum landlords.

DONT BOOK! DONT CHEAP OUT!

- bodily fluid stains on sofa bed
- sofa bed broken
- wifi not working
- basic supplies like soap not provided
- general hygiene of place was bad
- tried to reach out via email, website and phone - unresponsive until day after and owner was threatening on the phone
- no refund/compensation was offered

Stayed for a night, it was filthy no hot water. Blind fallen off the wall.

Company and customer service refused to help and refused any form of compensation, they would only give compensation if I lied and gave them a good review which is blackmail I would avoid at all costs. Worst experience from a property ever.

The worst place we’ve ever stayed in. No hot water, dirty bed sheets, poor communication. Key went missing from key safe with poor support to gain access to property. Do not recommend this place

I booked a property in cardiff and when i left the place i realised I had left my AirPods in the room, after calling texting the host i got to know its there in the house and i waited outside the place for more than an hour after which he said it will be posted in couple of days, and days passed but nothing came but the host responded to the text saying it will be delivered and the moment the link to review the property got expired they stopped replying. I even tried emailing them also but no use, if in the worst situation if you have to use their properties use it but dont forget any of the belongings there as the probability of getting it back is almost zero.

Do not book unless you want a broken property promise ( ha). Booked for a special match day family treat - they dishonestly charged our card twice and then cancelled saying they wanted more money as they didn’t realise it was march day in Cardiff leaving us with nothing.
We weren’t offered an alternative price either.
Airbnb has been utterly useless refunding us 8 pounds. Shame on these sharks.

I was not going to leave this negative review, but Property Promise have not replied to communications we have sent in the months following our family's stay about items we unfortunately left behind and asked for assistance in posting to us. No doubt they will now confirm the items were posted by regular rather than signed for recorded post which will of course mean they are lost (if indeed they were posted in the first place). Tragic, as there were some emotionally valuable items my elderly mother will be unable to replace.

The apartment was basic, if on the pokey-side, with a very dirty terrace that did not resemble marketing images. Amenities were hit and miss, for example no saucepans provided, limited utensils, Wifi broken and heating not working. Located in not the most acceptable areas of Cardiff, certainly streets we would not want to walk about in after dark and not a location I would recommend for families.

Neighbours were inconsiderate. Very loud music was played over half our 3 day visit, so loud we had to speak up to hear each other in the apartment and certainly, rendered us unable to sleep. We asked the neighbours to turn the music down but they refused. We reported the disruption to Property Promise, but they were also unable to assist and we simply had to suffer in silence. It caused much anxiety for my 85 year old mother - simply the worst experience of any place we have stayed in.

Our terrible experience at 9 Janet Street, Cardiff aside, the lack of professional support and service from Property Promise has been quite shocking. Even when they had the opportunity to salvage the situation by at least sending our forgotten items to us (of course, by a registered or signed for service to ensure receipt - which I offered to reimburse for), they still were unable to step up to the plate.

Do not believe the marketing material. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Best to go elsewhere.

The state of the house is dreadful. All the windows are blown, really bad paint job, freezing cold with 2 supplied mini heaters that smell awful when on, rubbish outside, weeds everywhere in the 'garden', and probably the most disgusting place we've ever stayed. We had a problem with the oven, and the lady on Whatsapp was really unhelpful and then just stopped replying. Avoid like the plague.
