Kingask Avis 

We have just returned from our stay at The Golf Flat in West Burn Lane (our home from home). I shouldn’t really praise this beautiful flat too highly as it will just make everyone want to visit it and it is very popular as it is! That was our fourth stay this year and we will be returning over the festive period- think we should just move in permanently! All the staff at Kingask are extremely helpful and friendly and should there be any problems these are dealt with efficiently and promptly. We have stayed at other properties on Kingask’s books but this is by far our favourite - spacious, well presented and close to the town centre and The Old Course which our Cockapoo loves to walk through on a daily basis!

We booked through Kingask to stay at Meggie Allan’s cottage and it was great! Great secure garden for our 3 dogs and all kitchen equipment necessary. Lovely views to May Isle from the conservatory where we spent most of our evenings. Only a few minor cosmetic points, trip hazard on turned up edge of carpet, 2 recently repaired patches on living area wall had not bee painted and the mattress in the double room sinks in the middle leading to a rather uncomfortable night sleep. Apart from that I would recommend this cottage and will return in the future.

My family and I recently stayed at Rosebank in St Andrews. Whilst it was in a good location and had adequate bedrooms to accommodate our party size we were not aware that it is also used as student accommodation and we were very disappointed with its condition.

Within the property there were a lot of shortcomings for a holiday home: hooks but no artwork in the sitting room, no curtains in the sitting room, hole in floorboards in shower room, lack of some utensils in kitchen, oven door in need of repair, musty/damp smell in kitchen area, garden area in need of maintenance and the external covered area needs extensive repairs in order to be of any use to occupants.

I’m my opinion this house requires substantial updating to bring it up to a reasonable standard and I would not recommend it.

Steprock Cottage was even better than we expected. We knew the location would be spectacular, but the house is amazing. A very modern interior in a great cottage. And it’s even closer to the golf courses than we thought.
The kitchen had everything we needed and it was just a perfect cottage on a quaint little lane.
We had six people and we were very comfortable.
Kingask was very easy to work with. Any time we had a question before our arrival they answered very quickly.
We could not have been happier with Steprock Cottage or Kingask.

Do not use this company. We have booked a property through this company for 10 of us. The old vicarage crail. Due to government guidelines the rule of 6 we are unable to use this property for the purpose we booked it yet this company wont give us a refund, they want us to cancel so they dont have to return our money. There are other agents out there renting the same property yet offering full refunds due to covid 19. The customer care and relations from this company is disgraceful. I hope property owners see this review and act on it. This is yet again another company that are trying to rip people off through a pandemic.

A brilliant stay at Kingask. We stayed at Kittocks Corner which had recently been upgraded, which is always a delight. We had the most amazing weather which meant we spent long afternoons enjoying the sunshine in the large and immaculately kept gardens. A real joy. But close enough to whizz in to St Andrews within 5 minutes. Christine and Pam in the office couldn't have been more helpful and really helped us out when we couldn't get the wifi to work (totally our fault as it happens). Will be back. 5 stars Kingask.
