Had a great experience at protyre…
Had a great experience at protyre ordered my tyre and tracking online which made it quick and easy to book in and pay and on the day turned up and had tyre fitter and tracking done on time plus they did a check on the tyres and brakes that gave me a good idea of times for next changes and had a good crack with the lads def using them again

⭐⭐ Disappointing experience on this occasion
I’ve generally found Protyre to be pretty good in the past. They’ve usually been thorough, kept me informed and highlighted any issues with the cars they’ve looked after, which is why this recent experience with my daughter’s Fiat 500 has been disappointing.
The car failed its MOT on an excessive oil leak, with the tester attributing a large puddle of oil underneath the car to the Fiat. However, we have had no oil on our driveway at all, either before or since the MOT, despite being told that the oil had been topped up.
There was also a failure for the handbrake, which had already been repaired/replaced at the previous MOT, raising questions about why this has become an issue again.
On top of this, several corrosion advisories were recorded for components including the front and rear springs, front subframe, connection arms and rear axle. None of these issues were highlighted at the previous MOT, which naturally leaves me wondering how much deterioration has occurred in the meantime and whether these concerns could have been identified earlier.
To make matters worse, I was told that someone would get back to me with a quote for the necessary repairs, but I’m still waiting.
I appreciate that businesses can experience staffing shortages, and I’ve since learned that the branch is currently without a manager and is short-staffed. I have some sympathy with the pressures that creates, but communication with customers is still important, particularly when a vehicle has failed its MOT and the owner is left unsure about the extent and cost of the work required.
I haven’t lost faith in Protyre as a whole, as my previous experiences have generally been positive. However, this visit has left me disappointed and with several unanswered questions. I hope the branch can improve its communication and provide some clarity on the findings and the outstanding repair quotation.

Staff was nice but i need to go back…
Staff was nice but i need to go back and sort my time to fit the rear tyre as my order was missing the day scheduled and they just fitted just the front tyres. It was hassle for me because that was the only day i’m off.
