Nice gym
Blue light offer used and happy with price. Plenty of easy parking. Gym is clean and there is enough stations and equipment.

I’ve joined, paid, downloaded the app, logged in with PIN, but when I try to book a class it says “join to book”. I DID JOIN!!!

Went to PureGym for years all over…
Went to PureGym for years all over Cardiff. Too crowded and spaces too small. They prioritise classes which restricts other who simply want to train freely, meaning when a class is on (which they are from morning until night) everyone is fighting for machines as there’s no free space. Left a went elsewhere.
PureGym is for new gym users (beginners) or older people, as you become more confident you’ll likely swap to a more professional gym that focus on what users really want rather than making money on classes.

Our gyms are very popular and so can become busy especially at peak times, but this does fluctuate throughout the day and from day to day. Members can also use the members area via the PureGym app or website, to see how many people are in the gym. We always aim to provide a broad spread of kit to cater to a range of fitness needs and meet demand as it changes through the day, getting the balance right between weights and cardio. The new equipment is nice but very off…
The new equipment is nice but very off putting that the machines are stacked very close together. A few people common on this, you are literally elbow to elbow. If this doesn’t change I won’t renew membership and I think you will lose other people as well. There is plenty of space, so unnecessary just terrible planning and layout

Member of Pure Gum Cardiff Gate. Hygiene is not best. I have raised a few times and it simply does not get permanently addressed to have hand sanitizers for cleaning when leaving the gym. They have one bottle by exit door that is always empty. How difficult is it to keep it topped up or have more?
Also, the gym could do with some extra kits like leg extension machines and bicep curls. When you monitor gym usage and see these two machines always utilized, surely an investment would be better for the members than always having to wait for use.

Great joining experience

Friendly, welcoming and respectful
The staff at the gym were very friendly and welcoming. I was nervous about attending for the first time, even just for an induction. But Josh (member of staff who provided the tour) immediately put at ease and I ended up staying for a short workout afterwards. Friendly and respectful atmosphere. Membership plans are very reasonable. Nice to be able to bring a buddy on my membership plan. I also made use of my student discount, which was great. Considering booking in with a personal trainer at the gym.
