About 2-3 week ago I was called a prick by the gym manager when I informed him that a cross trainer wasnt working,apparently he didn't like.me.shouting yo n clicking my fingers trying to get his attention, then after my workout I.was asked into the office by the assistant manager, where he went on to tell me that nobody in the gym liked me and hed had loads.of complaints,but I only.speak to 5 or.6 people and keep my head down most.of.the time ,and I was never told.about.any issues after any of the so called complaints ,he then went on to tell me that what the gym manager did.was understandable because we had bad blood ,which is hard to believe as I only ever spoke.to him once and didn't like his macho attitude and the way he belittled the then assistant manager dan to me,telling me he was having a crying holiday because he didn't get the managers job,so I avoided eye contact and any other contact, he wasnt my kind if person ,but I didn't have any bad blood ,what I did do was leave bad reviews when asked ,i normally wouldn't leave any review but the cheap air conditioning was making it hard to train with it being turned on full and blowing freezing cold air on to the benches ,so while leaving reviews on this I left an honest evaluation of the gym with regards to cleanliness and bad atmosphere, so I knew he k ew it was me leaving the reviews, but I was asked to leave a review, but it seems if you leave a bad review then the manager starts an argument, and tries to embarrass you in front of other gym.memebers ,calls you a prick and the assistant manager puts you down and tries.to make you believe its.all your fault ,now I.left.a review here on trustpilot when it happened, and normally when I leave a review I get a reply from puregym with a list.of excuses or lies ,but not this time ,now I haven't felt comfortable going back in to the gym so Ive waited.for a reply from PureGym, so 3.weeks without working out and I e still.had no reply or.an apology, or.we.will.look.in to it ,when normally I get a reply within a week or so

Rude disrespectful staff
I trained at this gym for over 10 years and have always respected the equipment and other members. Recently I was spoken to in a very disrespectful and patronising manner by a PT regarding “not dropping weights” – despite the fact I only ever lower weights in a controlled way and, if fatigued, allow them to drop slightly from a low height. I do not slam weights, and the flooring is rubber. I have never once had this raised as an issue in over a decade of training here.
When I raised the situation with the manager, I was met with the same dismissive attitude rather than a professional conversation or any attempt to understand my side.
This experience completely changed how I felt in the gym, and I no longer felt comfortable training here. I’ve now moved to a different gym where the atmosphere is far more respectful.
Very disappointing after so many years of loyalty.

Returning member. Straight forward re-enrollment process with minimal sales fluff thrown in. Good to see classes are still included with Core memberships.

The PT that gave me my introduction was…
The PT that gave me my introduction was extremely pleasant and professional which lead to me feeling comfortable in a place I had never thought of joining before. A day or 2 later I went for a class which I found my fitness wasn't ready for and the PT for the class was very patient and advised what i should focus on :) I appreciate the feeling of being accepted into what feels like a foreign atmosphere to me.

Downloaded the app as instructed but it wouldn’t let me use the pin I had been provided as a friend … therefore couldn’t access the gym and no-one was around to answer the buzzer, or to help me get into the gym

Once added as a Free Friend you can access the club straight away with the main account holder.
Just make sure they enter their PureGym Pin first and enter the gym, then you can enter your own to gain entry.

As an existing member I had a look at the offer and grabbed it. Been wanting to get back but couldn’t really afford it but the 3 month half price offer sealed it for me. I love PureGym and the guys at my local one in colne are excellent
