The Gym is well equipped and safe. What I like the most is that it is open 24hours allowing a more flexible routine.

Pure Gym is great
Pure Gym is great, good value for money.
I usually get bored of Gyms within a few months but 14 months on, and still going strong.

Really enjoying the classes as new starter to this gym…been to lots of gyms in the past however, this one has the greatest selection of fitness classes…without a doubt!
I love how there are classes very early in the morning, so I can get up and workout before work.
Always very clean and tidy too.

Great gym and friendly staff, but music is not so good
I love that the gym is 24 hours and the staff are very helpful. There's also a huge selection of machines and weights so never feel limited in the exercises I want to do. The only negative is the music as it's rarely anything that you can actually work out to and coupled with the gym being so silent, it can be hard to maintain that motivation throughout the workout.

I love this gym, the only downside is how busy it is at peak times.
I do have some advice, throughput the socials for the Heanor PureGym Insta page. They ask for feedback Fridays. I work in Continuous Improvement and I believe that it's brilliant that you ask that question. But feedback is only as good as the output. It's great that through socials you ask that question but nobody sees the output of the feedback. That loop is never closed. I believe you could take the customer service even further by showing how you are using the feedback to drive actions and that you are listening. That you are not asking for feedback to tick a box. I think that would take the customer experience to another level. Love the business and facilities.

We’re afraid it's true, our gyms simply are very popular and so can become busy especially at peak times, but this does fluctuate throughout the day and from day to day.
Members can also use the members area via the PureGym app or website, to see how many people are in the gym.

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken.
We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible.
Temperatures in our gyms are automatically regulated by Smart machines, but if there is a persistent issue staff may be able to override it and can certainly report it to be checked by engineers. Thanks, PureGym

When I signed up it says I should get a code emailed through to gain access to the gym but I haven't received anything. When I sent a message via Facebook about this to ask for help, no one got back in touch to help.

Extreme disappointment
I signed yesterday for the gym in Heanor, as it's closer to my new home, and today I went in. As soon as I walked in, I walked out. The facility has only 1 shower in total, changing rooms are just 2 small 1-person fitting rooms and few lockers, while the place requirements should be higher. Very disappointing, I tried to cancel my membership immediately and staff there was extremely disinterested.

Welcoming and Good Classes
I have been attending this Gym since it first opened back in April 2022, been to arrange of classes with various gym instructors who each have there own routine/choreograph but all enthusiastic and deliver excellent classes that work various muscle groups aswell as building personal confidence. Outside of Classes the staff are also friendly, welcoming and always happy to help when asked.
It has been unfortunate that upstairs has been closed for a week or so however alternative gyms have been offered aswell as extra classes being available on Sundays.
Would definitely recommend this gym to someone who is new to the gym or someone who has been going for years!

Communication is key
The above feedback isn’t an overall. I joined on 2/3rd Jan 2024, and since then I’ve been going everyday near enough, it’s always very clean, and lovely facilities. However…. For the past nearly week the whole of the top floor has been out of use, and it’s not been a 24/7 gym like it’s being advertised. Apparently due to a fire exit issue, the top floor is no access at all. Despite how small the top floor is, there is lots of equipment up there. To begin with when the announcement was made, social media had regular updates and I also received update emails, had nothing for about 3/4 days now. I appreciate the access to other gyms in the area, but nearest one from Heanor is Derby city centre or Kingsway Retail Park, or Beeston, there’s nothing closer. Every visit, is miles in the car, unless it’s on your way home from work, which for me isn’t, I have to go out my way. On the posts pure gym at Heanor have been making a lot of other users aren’t happy about the top floor being closed. I understand the whole health and safety, and meeting regulations etc…. But this has been going on for nearly a week. I’m not going to carry on driving a 26 mile round trip to Derby, when there’s two other gyms around the corner in Heanor I could gym. I private messaged the Facebook group and commented on one of the posts, and I’m getting ignored. I do think communication is key here, the members all need an update on when he’s going to be opening fully.
I did also want to mention when the gym was full access, I was upstairs, and there was two members of staff in what I would say that was messing about. The young girl with the red ponytail, was back and forth with her big changing bag from the door to the shower change laughing and messing about with the cleaner, and she got in peoples way, and it just looked silly and unprofessional.
I did also want to mention a particular male in the gym, he slams weights down and grunts like he’s playing tennis… and I can hear all of it over my headphones, so god knows what it’s like for people without the headphones in.
I do want to end on a positive though, that the gym is always clean.

Upstairs closed no toilets
Upstairs closed no toilets, no changing facilities or lockers.
Signed up today, visited for the first time to discover half the gym is closed due to health and safety issues. Would have been nice to know before and maybe I’d have joined after the issues are resolved. Also nowhere to leave stuff? No changing rooms, no toilets all because of health and safety? Either make it clear at the point of sign up you are only getting access to half a gym with zero facilities and or offer memberships at a discount as we are only able to use half a gym!!
Glad I went Sunday rather than before work Monday.

Lovely gym but very small
Lovely friendly gym, settled in nicely only down side is there isn’t enough equipment for people to train, people are always queuing to use equipment. Very small place for the price we pay.
