I have never had any problems since I have been with PureGym, very friendly and helpful and understanding staff and I thoroughly enjoy all the classes that I do.

Good energy
Such great energy in the Strength class today! I’ll definitely come back and recommend Rommel as both an instructor and a PT. He guided us really well and helped correct our form. Thanks again!

My favourite gym
Pure Gym Northolt is my favourite. Good location and classes are juat the best, you have lots of options and my favourite spin class is nearly every day. Staff members are amazing, Erica, Mo and Alex are the best.

Spin ur heart out
Just attended Erica’s spin class. The music and atmosphere was on point. People don’t know what they are missing. Very good workout.

We do our very best to provide a wide range of classes, so that members have a variety of ways to workout and also do so, in a short amount of time, as we understand some members are crunched for time or just prefer shorter (but effective) workouts. Good facilities but needs a deep clean
Good facilities and great selection of free weights and machines, but the gym needs better ventilation and a deep clean.
As soon as you walk in there is a strong smell of stale sweat and (areas of the gym smell of) mould.
There are no open windows and that may be part of the problem - there is no fresh air inlet/ outlet.
On three of the pulling machines, the plates underneath the selected weight 'stuck' to the plate above and released during the exercise movement. This illustrates the level of greasiness on the equipment.
I was glad to experience the air conditioning was on and the background music was not too loud.

Really good gym
Really good gym. Good value, lots of great classes and some even have ladies' spaces! Really friendly staff too at my local gym. I like the option of being able to attend different branches as well. Very generous buddy offering where you can bring a friend 4 times per month

Pure Gym is good place to do exercise and staff is good. Gym has own free parking and good atmosphere there. I am happy to join this place.

I loved the gym facilities
I loved the gym facilities! All equipment was working, the place was clean. I loved the scale to measure body fat! Nothing to complain about the gym! Unfortunately people have a strong smell of sweat.

I been is gym since 2018, I love it I know everyone there I have seen lots of members go and come, also managers go and come, but only 1 issue I face it’s the cleaning of the toilet, massy smelly,

Gym now out of touch
Northolt’s new classes feel monotonous, often exercises are inaccessible and the music sounds like random background noise that has no relevance to the exercises/stops midway through sets. The recorded instructions competing with live instructors add to the confusion. Having fitness instructors guide classes using a mobile app seems unprofessional and redundant. I first experienced these app-based classes at Puregym Ealing (specifically LIFT, RIDE, HIIT). Puregym Ealing had recently opened and I thought the app-based classes were for members to use directly but staff were having to use them as an emergency till they learned how to do their job and give live classes unaided. After a few sessions I stopped Ealing's classes and only attended Northolt's as it was app class free.
However, now I’m frustrated that Northolt’s previously high-quality classes have been downgraded to app-based sessions (which I have no interest in continuing to attend). These new classes are poorly designed as explained. But I also disagree with cloning all instructors/classes in the first place with an app. Members have diverse preferences, and the variety offered by different instructors helped cater to these.
Previously, I considered Northolt a great gym with excellent classes like Parsa’s Circuit classes and Debbie’s Cycle, Pump, Burn It (now gone). But it is a 1 star review as the gym is out of touch with its members - why replace booked out, well-designed classes with ones that are inadequate on so many levels. Please listen to members and bring back popular class formats that made Northolt a great place to work out.

Air conditioning in our gyms are automatically regulated by Smart machines, but if there is a persistent issue staff may be able to override it and can certainly report it to be checked by engineers. Thanks, PureGym.
Disappointing and unmotivating New app system
I’ve been a PureGym member for a while and had been happy with the flexibility and overall vibe, but the introduction of their new app system has been a complete letdown. The app forces you into repetitive, uninspired exercises that quickly become a chore rather than a workout. To make things worse, the music accompanying these workouts is boring, unrelenting, and downright annoying—definitely not the kind of soundtrack to get you motivated.
The app’s rigidity takes away the freedom that I used to enjoy at the gym. It feels as though you’re forced into doing these exercises half heartedly rather than an adaptable system for individual goals.
Instead of looking forward to my workouts, I now dread them.
It’s disappointing to see PureGym move in this direction. Unless there are significant changes, I can’t see myself staying as a member for much longer!!

Pure Gym Northolt new gym classes crap
Pure Gym Northolt has changed a lot of the classes at the gym. I’m not enjoying them. I go most evenings. This evenings HITT class was terrible. Too fast, too repetitive, no atmosphere, rubbish music.
The Lift classes were the same last week….too much repitition, no vibe, no time to master an exercise. Just rubbish. Really disappointed. The PT’s had their own techniques, music, and choreography. Now the classes are same and boring.

The new timetable and classes are…
The new timetable and classes are shambolic at Pure Gym Northolt. People will leave and look at other gyms as the old timetable and classes motivated people and were designed in a way to burn calories, get fitter and stronger and have a proper work out, trainers such as Debbie and Alex put effort into their classes to ensure it is energetic, lively, works us hard and fun however the new Lift and Hit classes are repetitive and this will lose you members , bring back your old classes !
