Too many younger kids that appeared to be under 16
visited the gym on a trial pass to see if I wanted to join. The staff were excellent and very welcoming. However, the atmosphere wasn’t what I expected. There were a lot of very young teens using the gym as a social space, gathering around equipment and messing around in the changing rooms. It made the environment feel less professional and not ideal for anyone wanting a proper workout.
They were also laughing at me working out as a larger woman it wasn't comfortable for me. I left not using my additional days.

I have been attending this gym since Sept and I have found all staff / trainers fab . Today just did a spin class with Charlotte - Smashed it - She is knowledgable / friendly / motivating / encouraging and makes the classes so much fun by engaging with us all .

Love the gym
Love the gym. It's simple, modern, clean and i love the women's only part. I would like to see more classes available but for the price paid for the membership it's to be expected. All the staff are really friendly and helpful.

Good if you can get there before 4pm
Good if you can get there before 4pm. Then it fills up. Dunno how young kids are managing to get in,cos I thought you had to be over 16. Theirs kids in there that are 14. I know this cos they’re in my sons year at school.

We’re afraid it's true, our gyms can become busy especially at peak times, but this does fluctuate throughout the day and from day to day. Members can also use the members area via the PureGym app or website, to see how many people are in the gym. Due to Health & Safety, as well as insurance purposes, we are unable to allow access to anyone under 16 years of age. Extremely Helpfull Staff
First of all the Managers are Extremely helpful and always making sure the gym is well maintained and clean the place is spotless every-time I go and I have been going for a year least the staff and managers get 11 out of 10 with my scores

First they charge me and then tell me I can't access the gym
I did not need extra support with my membership, but they added it as if I ticked the box. After payment, I am told I can't use any code or pin to access the gym (even normal entrance) until I go through an assessment but they sure charged me. Now I'm stuck waiting for a reply and can't access the gym in the meantime, really awful procedure and a very bad first impression.

Lots of broken machine
Lots of broken machine, the machine that did work were very squeaky so not well maintained.
Ideally before purchasing a day pass or monthly pass should be told what equipment is unavailable due it broken machinery

We would like to assure you that we are reviewing feedback and will ensure this is addressed in club. Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible. I am down as a buddy on my boyfriend’s membership at trinity Wakefield gym yet my PIN code is down for new Wakefield gym. Yet not 1 member of staff at pure gym Wakefield can help us sort it out which I think is discusting.

App - Difficult to find how
App - It's difficult to find how to rejoin. Personally, if a customer was in a canceled status and wanted to rejoin, I would have more notifications/pops linking them directly to the rejoin page. Instead, at the moment i go to the "Acocunt" page then have to "Your membership " where you wouild assume the rejoin butotn would be..... then i had to search using the Find out more button, then search how to rejoin, then to be directed to the landing page "You". Seems a bit long-winded when your wanting some to rejoin ASAP.
Also, if im going on the Pure Gym app and my account is canceled, would you not want a pop-up modal to hit the screen straight away with a "rejoin" button? as why would i be in the app if it's canceled if not to rejoin?
Also i got charged £10 admin fee when it got added to my basket as £0 joining fee? WHy have i been charged? The code worked and got added to the summary page but on the payment page, it got added back in, and i had to pay; otherwise, i couldn't get into the gym.

Not attending a gym for quite a few years I was a little nervous. One my first visit I felt safe and my nerves went almost immediately 🙂
