Radio Taxis Southampton Avis 

Stood outside arrivals. Taxi didn't come. Rang Driver but he hung up saying he's not coming. I rang to check they would not charge me so I could go to taxi rank. They confirmed they wouldn't but guess what THEY DID CHARGE ME. Shocking service.

Hopeless company. Booked 2 taxis through their website approx 2 weeks prior to the date of travel. One was normal sized taxi and the other a 6 seater for return travel later in the day. I also phoned a couple of days before to confirm. First taxi never showed and despite calling and holding for 15 mins before I booked an Uber instead. I then phoned again to confirm the 6 seater. That also didn’t turn up and when I called to see what was happening all I got was ‘there aren’t any taxis available’. Unbelievable! not only couldn’t supply the taxi but didn’t have the decency to contact me to tell me so I could make other arrangements. Appalling.

ZERO STARS on coroprate management. Driver was great though.... Evening. Absolutely terrible corporate management. Booking reference? You never confirmed my contract with any email or text. I knew, bloody knew i would have to chase my booking after a terrible experience 15 yrs ago or so. Never change. Buy up competition n keep the same business model " we have the monoploly". When i called at 18.45 to see if 19.00 booking was on the way, answer " no, you are out of town". (2 miles outside the town - lucky i was not at an airport then would be waiting hours).
Well you knew that at the point of booking, so leave 15 minutes prior to make it for 19.00, not 19.25. Young family. The taxi that arrived was freelance and great communication, taking a commission on what is a private taxi. If i had the means to call said driver direct i would and miss out the crap management n fee on fee. NEVER EVER AGAIN. 15 yrs on, same terrible service. Had no choice as my normal service booked 4 weeks in advance is fully booked until May. DONT bother responding, as never using your service again. I will be uploading this to every platform i can find.

booked a taxi for 8am as i had hospital appointment .Didn't turn up phoned them put on hold forever , my appointment was 8.40 so couldn't wait booked uber who turned up within minutes .Got a call back at 8.30 that my taxi is still 15 minutes away ,which would have made me late for my appointment . Appalling service and wont be using again . My advise is use Uber ,who are more reliable .

I booked a large taxi for 5 people via the app for 3pm yesterday. I made this booking at about 1pm. The booking was confirmed. Then I got a phone call from them at 2.58pm saying they couldn’t get a big enough taxi and would have to send 2 cars at double the cost. The cars weren’t on their way and I’d have to wait. We had a train to catch for a meal booked so waiting was not an option.

Pre authorises an amount well in excess of the fare, infact this evening more pre authorisations taken than the number of journeys ! Feel like I’ve been robbed, phoned to complain but told I have to call back on a weekday ! Useless

Don’t bother booking via the automated booking service
Booked at taxi for 9.40pm from botley station. When I arrived there’s no taxi there and I was told it’ll be half an hour
Begs the question what would happen if I was a more vulnerable person waiting in the dark alone

If I could give 0 I would. Booked in advance at 6.15 for a reservation at 7 and did not show up even after calling at 6.25 to check and being told they were 15 mins away. Called again at 6.45 to be told they were busy and no idea when they might bother to show. Avoid at all costs.

If I could give a zero review I would. , rude , tardy , unprofessional and ungrateful business , I’ll give my money to Uber !! They don’t deserve decent working peoples hard earned money

I have a permanent booking for every friday night, I confirm it every friday 1 hour prior . booking confirmed. Only once was the taxi on time, this term. I am 76 and left to walk 1.5 miles. My husband is77 and not well and waiting for surgery a taxi was called, confirmed, and when the taxi did not arrive we were told sorry no cars. Clive Carr Thornhill Southampton

I don’t use taxi too often but I booked a taxi for out and a pick up at 12,45 am. 1.35 am still no taxi. Left out ok the cold. Phoned and was told short staffed. What is the point of pre booking.
Ended up flagging a down when I was actually home I got a call taxi was on its way Ridiculous.
Luckily we are not ladies in our teen years as we were not in a very good area of town and to expect ladies to wait is unacceptable. The worst service I’ve ever received from the taxi company would not recommend and definitely will not be using again unfortunately

Wasted my time tonight. Called an hour after taxi should have been here only to be told it would be another hour. Converted to uber now- much better service

Pre booked taxi didn't turn up, Train missed as a result. When i phoned the office to check i was told "all times are approximate and the taxi would still be another 20-30 minutes".
Unreliable service. Don't trust them with anything time critical.

They guy on phone line asking me do i have a mask and if im exempt from wearing one.Is he a F doctor or what what a joke never using this s.h..t again

I booked a taxi on the app at 6pm for a pick up at 7.30pm. At 7.40pm I called to ask where my taxi was and was advised that there were no taxis in my area and 7.30pm was on an approximate and one might not be available for another 25 minutes which would have made me late. If you book a taxi that far in advance you expect one to arrive but as I found out from another taxi firm who came straight away advised that they wouldn’t send a taxi that was available all the way over from the other side of town and would wait to one was this way. Never will I use them again as not reliable especially when you need to be somewhere on time.

I have lived in Southampton for 4 years and RadTax is my number one choice. I have used other companies when RT couldn’t help but, for me, they’re the best in the city
First you get to speak to a human
Second, they’re prompt
Third, they’re reasonably priced
Fourth, the cars are in good shape and the drivers don’t bore you with the benefit of their unique understanding of the political climate
Of course you get a text telling you when your lift’s on its way along with car and driver details. And another on arrival. Naturally you can pay by credit card (always make it clear at the start of the trip)
And because life isn’t perfect they treat your complaint sensitively and promptly
Basically a great, professional and efficient taxi company
