My daughter and son loves going razz
My daughter and son loves going razz, every week she gets so excited. We’ve just added on project intense and private singing lessons as she wants a career in theatre and they couldn’t be more supportive. My 4 year old was also able to perform in their yearly performance and really enjoyed it. They are very patient with the students especially the younger ones. We did have an issue with another student but it was very quickly dealt with. I’m amazed how far my SEND child has come in the year and a half she has been going there. I couldn’t thank them enough for everything they have done especially taking such fantastic care for my children.

I don’t have children attending at Razz, but I have known of friends’ children as well as teacher friends that have nothing but positive experiences of Razz!
I have my own small school, but I did look into franchising a Razzamataz many years ago. I was so impressed by their ethos, and the love and care that has been put into the brand and model to create inclusivity. I’ve also had friends that have worked for Razz too, and all have said how amazing the setup is for everyone involved. They’ve also won franchisee satisfaction awards too. If that doesn’t spell professional, I don’t know what will!
I’m a stickler for safeguarding, and proper compliant systems when it comes to children. However, Razz go above and beyond for their students & franchisees.
Amazing network!

Do not recommend - No safeguarding
My daughter attended Razzamataz for a short period of time and had to leave due to the distress & anxiety caused whilst attending.
My daughter loved Razz when she started, she was more confident and really enjoying the classes.
Sadly, there was an incident one day where another pupil threatened her and her friend and physically assaulted another. I raised this with the principle and was told that they are a SEND pupil and tried to explain this to the children. I understand this however, there should be no circumstance where my child, or any other children, are at risk.
My daughter now experiences anxiety as a result of this incident and I would not recommend these classes and their lack of safeguarding, to anyone.
To add insult to injury - I still had to pay for 8 weeks after she stopped going!

My experience in Razzamataz in 2016, even if this was ages ago, it should be recognised.
I would like to stay anonymous. In high-sight this may never happened in other Razzamataz, but this was my experience in Medway as a student. And I wanted to share, because it had been something that been bothering me. Even if it not all bad, I definitely didn’t feel happy when I kept going throughout my years, in that theatre school knowing well how biased it had been. And it’s kinda upsetting how it did affect me as a child growing up. This theatre had never felt more unfair, and ugly in the inside, in my entire life, as I lived thinking as a child, that it was fair, and realistic, and maybe other students tried harder then me. But I will just begin writing on my first year in Razzamataz, it seemed fine at first, until scrips rolled around, for when we have to begin to prepare our big performance, such as musicals like lion king exc. And as a child, I loved drama, it had been one of what I had been most excited for. I had loved acting, on pair with dancing (but not as much). So I had tried really hard to give some engagement into my script. Until judging came around, from that, to results, it really made me excited as a child, I didn’t care much if I got the lead, I had at-least wanted a small part of it, a character. The results were in, and I didn’t get anything. I was disappointed, sure, but I was used to being disappointed before, so I wasn’t as heartbroken as I should be. But noticing now the mistakes as an adult. Even if I didn’t get the part. The drama teacher, should’ve really spoken on mistakes that had been done. To then made sure her students have another shot/chance next time, with some key actor skills. But that wasn’t the case, there was no feedback. Moving on to dance. Dance had always been my second passion, And since I was always the tallest of my class, I was always in the back. I don’t think you know horrible is living with the fact ‘because your tall, you have to be in the back, so the shorter ones will always shine from the front’. There was no competition of who was the best, or who put the most effort. And it’s funny, they will always try to do different dimensions of shapes, to give more chance for the people always put in the back (due to height) a bit more to the front. I would be lucky if I had been put a bit to the front. They would always say ‘background people are like jigsaw peices. To make the full picture’ but lets be real, would anyone really care? If that one background girl was missing? But as a kid, I went with the idea, trying my hardest with performing, I wanted to be noticed. I never got any attention. And singing was never my passion, knowing I am terrible at singing, so as expected I wouldn’t shine at that either. As it finally rolled into the final performance, I tried my hardest as usual. And as I don’t want to overdue the negatives, I did have fun for that small moment. But as expected with photographers, and of course I don’t expect them to take a lots of shots of each, and every kid. But it was clear they favoured the people with the bigger roles. Or were in the front lines when it came to dancing. Or when you had a singing role. The people in the back, had one picture, lucky if they had 2/3 done. And this continued for every year, I would never get the roles, I would continue being the back, no matter how much I rehearsed my lines, or actually cared about my acting, it didn’t feel like I was ever good enough, or it just didn’t matter. It was quite obvious who were the favourites, because it had been the same people who had always got a role in it. And the the dance teacher had always seemed biased of her shortest students, maybe because they get along with her so well. It felt it was always promised that space would be there’s. And there would be no way of the tall people to ever be placed in the front. No matter how much you smiled, no matter how much you tried, no matter how much personality you put into the movement. Who cares, it didn’t matter. I felt the urge to not care about remembering the movements. And it only left to my passion in the theatre. It has rolled into one of years, of me being disappointed again, I had opened my feelings to my mum, but I had never wanted her to do anything about it. Since I didn’t want to known as that bratty kid that gets what she wants, to then cry when not offered. But she persisted anyways without my consent, if I had been stronger, and less tolerant to their bs, I would’ve spoken up about the neglect or care of that running bias. It took that one talk, for one of the heads of our year, to speak to me privately, and yes I kept it hidden, but I did finally agreed to the having a role. But it just never felt right, it didn’t feel earned. But felt like I did notice the bias once a student wouldn’t preform a line, from how ridiculous it sounded. Which in thoughts, didn’t feel fair, as an actor, your meant to play the character, not get personal on how you will act on it-
