I called this company yesterday with some enquires and the lady I spoke to on the phone was very helpful. Made me feel at ease even with my 120 questions. Got a great price and will be using them in the coming weeks for my Kong distance move. Survey was booked for the same day. Totally recommend.

I wouldn’t use them again. Had a quote over the phone and explained the inventory and the fact we were moving to a 2nd floor flat with no lift. The woman on the phone told me “it sounds like a 3 man job but I’ll put it down as 2 to make the quote cheaper for you”. Movers arrived on the day and explained this was definitely a 3 man job. The inventory they had did not match the conversation I had had with the office when the quote was supplied. I spoke with the office again and he said they would send a third man to help unload. The movers themselves were great and worked hard. When the move was complete I was informed that I had to pay an additional £130 for the third man. I called the office and got through to a guy who had a screaming child with him and he confirmed the extra money was needed immediately. I tried to explain that this had not been mentioned to me earlier in the day. I paid it just to get the movers out of my new home. They were very apologetic about the whole thing. Left a sour taste in the mouth and I would not recommend this company to anyone.

As a first-time customer, I engaged the services of Removals Expert for my move on 01/08/2023. The overall experience with the company had both positive and negative aspects.

When I received the quotes from Removals Expert, I was presented with two options. The first quote was for 3 movers with 2 3.5-tonne Luton vans, amounting to £690. I made an upfront deposit of £69, which was deducted from the total cost. Later, I decided to request an additional van and two more movers, leading to another quote of £498. Considering the scope of the move, I agreed to this revised cost and made a payment of £690 + £498 before the scheduled move date.

On the day of the move, the movers arrived promptly, and though we encountered challenges in arranging parking, the 6 men present were helpful and displayed a friendly attitude during the packing process.

However, a significant issue arose during the move itself. As we embarked on the journey to the new flat, I soon noticed that there were only 2 vans present, instead of the agreed-upon 3. Upon inquiry, the movers explained that they managed to efficiently fit all my belongings into the two vans, eliminating the necessity for the third van. While I appreciate their resourcefulness and dedication to completing the move, I couldn't help but feel concerned about not receiving the service I had initially paid for. Regrettably, the company's policy prevented them from providing any refund or deduction for the absent van.

Furthermore, post-move, I was charged an additional £40 for the boxes supplied by the movers. While I found this charge reasonable and a standard practice, it added to my overall concern about the value for money.

As a first-time mover, I entrusted Removals Expert with the task, seeking expert assistance. Though I commend the movers for their professionalism and friendly demeanor throughout the process, the discrepancy in the van arrangement and the lack of compensation for the absent van leaves me somewhat hesitant about recommending this company to friends and family.

In conclusion, I want to extend my appreciation to all the movers involved in the process, but I feel inclined to rate my experience with Removals Expert as three stars due to the concerns mentioned earlier.

We had a very good experience with the Removal Experts, they arrived on time both days, were considerate, patient when things went wrong with the estate agent and professional throughout, would use again and highly recommend! Best price by far compared to competitors!

We were really impressed with the service, and the very competitive prices. Ahmed and Milad were on time, polite and professional. Things got quite stressful for us on the day as we were late completing on our purchase but the guys were patient and accommodating doing their best to make things smooth for us. Would definitely recommend them and will use them in the future.

On day 1 for packing, 2 thoughtful movers came and packed up our kitchen. However, on day 2, a large crew of movers came, and this is where the problems began. Our things were thrown into boxes that were too big, and at random. No care whatsoever shown for our items. They wanted to charge £30 per wardrobe box - we paid for some, and then they still threw clothing on hangars into random boxes. They used boxes that were too big and filled them halfway, which made them very hard to unpack and manage. They ignored very clear instructions I had given them about what not to pack - I almost lost my rental deposit because they packed all of the keys and manuals to the white goods in the flat. They did not put down carpets or take any measure to protect our new home, and they scratched our floors. Since they did not label anything, we didn't know what was packed in what box. My vinyl records and books were thrown into random boxes. They pressured us intensely to pay via bank transfer at the end of they day - this is so they could circumvent any consumer protections. When we contacted them to compensate us for lost items, they told us that we only had 7 days to file a complaint, and of course, there was nothing we could do. They were rude and hostile. This is a terrible company that you should absolutely never use.

Avoid this company at all costs. They are certainly not experts. They will pester you until you book with them but when the time comes, their service is appalling. They are incompetent - forgetting to pack an entire kitchen cabinet full of pots and pans so that I had to go back and look for it the next week. They forget simple instructions (eg I told them to leave certain bits of furniture that didn’t belong to us, only to find they had packed them when we got to the new place). They pack with zero thought and care, throwing items into boxes without regard for the consequences (eg toiletries and toilet brushes on top of curtains and upholstery - the effect being damaged goods). They don’t pay care and attention to the properties they’re moving you from and to - for instance, failing to put down any sort of protector for the carpet. The communication with the company management is unpleasant and hostile and I would advise you search elsewhere, their price point isn’t even competitive. You will have a better experience elsewhere.
