I purchased a Rolex from Ride on Timee in July this year. It was a nearly new model, the card stated April 2023. The transaction went through without a hitch and Jordan was very helpful during this process.

Then in October approximately around 8-9 weeks after the purchase I had the opportunity to trade it in for a new Rolex with a watch dealer in Hatton Garden, London. We struck a deal in principle and I took a day off work and headed into Central London.

On arrival at the dealers he initially looked my watch over to make sure all was in order with it. At this stage I had no concerns as it was barely 6 months old and I purchased from a reputable dealer. Then to my utter surprise the situation became one of total dis-belief. The London dealer sat my watch on a calibration meter and this showed the watch as loosing time (from memory 2 seconds a day) he then proceeded to put another Rolex on the same meter (this was 10 years old) and it was out by 0.01 of a second. This raised concerns!!! Further inspection he found debris on the watch face behind the glass. He told me that the watch had been opened and the Rolex warranty was now not valid! He then proceeded to open the back up with my permission and found the watch had been taken apart and whoever did it caused scratches in the watch and around the back. He then asked for the white tag, he checked this on the Rolex website and informed me the watch was originally a model with a green face which had been changed to a Wimbledon face to make it more desirable.

I was absolutely shell shocked! I found myself in an unbelievable situation!! The dealer levelled with me and said effectively this wasn’t good news but agreed to let our deal go ahead, but I had to take a reduction in cost for it. I agreed as I’m there in this guys office, facing the risk of loosing the deal and effectively being left with a dud watch.

I contacted Ride in timee and informed him of the situation. He carried out a full investigation down his supply chain and did actually find who had interfered with it! So in effect admitted liability!! I told him the whole storey and I decided to sell (this being a on the spot decision) due to the utter shock. I asked him to consider refunding me for the loss in money, he used delay tactics and then eventually stated he was not going to meet me on this.

So this company clearly does not have a good trustworthy supply chain, and watches are not checked out when come into their possession! The sheer fact that the London dealer identified these issues in less than 5 minutes seriously concerns me about Ride on timee expertise, which when dealing with high value items should be absolutely paramount.

Please see the photos, look by the 5 in 45 (quarter to the hour) black item in face. Look at the rear of the watch the screw heads have been burred

Just got my 2nd watch from Jordan. 1st I purchased a Rolex datejust which I loved but wanted a change after owning for a year so I’ve just part ex for a rolex skydweller which is really nice Absolutely stunning watch.

Jordan gave me a really good price for the datejust on a part ex.

Price of the batman was great and the trade in price for the exp2 was fair too!
