Avoid R & K Custom Homes! We made the mistake of hiring this company to construct our custom home, and it has been a nightmare from beginning to end. Instead of completing the project within the promised 6 months, it dragged on for over a year. The company is run by two older individuals who lack a sufficient contractor group, resulting in constant delays whenever a contractor is unavailable. Furthermore, they provided us with one price initially, only to change it repeatedly without any notification or approval. The extent of overbilling, mistakes, charging for unauthorized labor, and installing items without consent and then charging for them is endless. Save yourself the trouble and opt for a reputable, larger company with more than just two employees. By doing so, you will not only save time but also money. We were forced to resort to arbitration to resolve our issues. Learn from our mistakes and avoid making the same ones.
