Dodgy letter
Got a letter today, similar to what everyone else has described, in the name of someone that has never lived at my address. I put it back in the post as 'unknown, return to sender' before I saw these reviews. Now I'm dreading how many more I'm going to get as it looks like it's impossible to get off their database.

Same experience as everyone else
Same experience as everyone else. Recieved a letter with my address but a name of someone I've never heard of. I've lived at my address for 10 years. Looks like a scam grab for personal details. I'm really pleased I came here to read these reviews before i did anything.
Random letter
As others mentioned, I suddenly received a letter to someone who didn't live at my address. This is a very suspicious company.
Scum.
Scum.
Data brokers who sell your information to companies so they can send you junk mail.
Have to tell them to remove my information from their system every 2-6 months and yet they keep re-adding it.
SCAM
Where do these scammers get name and address details from!? Why do they sell these details!? Have they ever heard of Data Protection! Everything they do is illegal!!
A scam?
A scam. They grab your data if you reply to them. Best to bin anything they send keep your data safe and well away from this company.
Extremely suspect company
Extremely suspect company. Have received multiple letters to someone who has not lived here. Back of envelope even has details of what to do if the recipient does not live there. Looks like a cynical attempt to gather personal data with the lure of compensation owed.
Got a letter addressed to someone I…
Got a letter addressed to someone I know never lived here. I've lived here for 16 years with one previous owner. On the back I'm told to contact the email address at sagacitysolutions.co.uk. (that gives them my email!) or visit the website mydatachoices.co.uk. Looked it up. To get my address removed I have to give them all sorts of info including my email address. Just a scam to get data. (And yes, on that basis I opened the letter. Offering to check finance agreements because I could claim money back! Binned it.)
DATA SHARING IGNORING GDPR
Thought this letter looked very dodgy not only the faulty 'CLAIM now' 'you could be owed...'contents but also on the back of the envelope referring you to wither sagacity or the pseudo official looking 'myndatachoices' website. They are both all about gathering and illegally sharing your data.
As.other recommendations, an with Which advice will be submitting an SAR from ICO and trying to get our data lifted and if not, reporting.
If I had the chance to rate 0 star
If I had the chance to rate 0 star, I would have done it. Sagacity Solutions sent a letter to my address (obviously in the name of someone who is not a resident here). They know that the recipient is not at this address, in fact on the back of the envelope there are some email address to contact to unsubscribe : I have never subscribed. So they take your data and God knows where are going..
Unrequested mail beware..!
Gives my 85 year old mother's address out ,lots of unwanted mail
when you phone their number,a Bot ,operates if you request removal ,email only..asking & giving this Shabby company your email also.. Beware..!!
SAGACITY
Who is this company? How dare they grab data and sell it on to companies! I have been bombarded with junk mail from a company called reclaimnow.com..I have NEVER had car finance, I cant even drive!..I have emailed sagacity and filled in form to be removed from their database, I received an information pdf back from them on who they are and what they do with our data,I didnt ask for that I know who they are ,they sale public data to receive money.Disgusting company I will be putting in a complaint to get my info off there database.
They sold an old (30 years old)address…
They sold an old (30 years old)address of mine to lots of 3rd parties. They did not remove it when I requested it be removed. To get it removed I had to go through the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) under the uk Data Protection Act. Luckily this is a free service and easy to use for people who find Sagacity don’t remove their data. The ICO can be contacted either by phone or online by anyone struggling to get Sagacity to remove their data as I did.
Sold my data so I get junk mail.
sell your info to people to then…
sell your info to people to then bombard you with junk
where they got my info I don't know
I have looked to see if I can get it deleted, but the ICO website doesn't make it clear that this would be the case and I don't want to give them more info that they can then sell on
Privacy means nothing to them
