A JOke! THEY ARE NOT FOR THE COMMUNTIES! THEY ARE SELFISH AND CONCERNED FOR THEIR WELL BEING ONLY! THEY WOULD RATHER KEEP THE GOOD FANS BUT SALE THAT CRAP THAT DON'T WORK!

Trying to donate perfectly decent furniture turned into a rigmarole to meet Salvo’s conditions only to find on pick up that every item I was going to donate was rejected because of not meeting Salvo’s standards. I am appalled at the attitude shown, I had perfectly good modern furniture, no damages, all drawers working. Outdoor tables and chairs virtually unused and had only been outdoors under a covered deck. Considering Salvo’s declared purpose is to assist those who are ‘financially vulnerable and/or disadvantaged’, the way my donation was handled was an absolute insult to me and a joke to your declared purpose. If everything has to be so ‘perfect’ why bother with used items, just go buy new. Salvo’s has lost my support, my goodwill and I will certainly not recommend to others to donate goods, in fact I would advise against it.

This is regards to the Salvation Army’s E comm platform.
The bidding is questionable and the items are always shipped poorly and arrive broken or not at all. In addition AI pictures are used and the items arrive not consistent with the pictures and descriptions. In addition they are also selling items as precious metals when the items are actually not.
I began to report my issues and request returns and refunds and was banned from shopping. I have reached out to several departments but no one has responded.
This is definitely retaliation against me and is unacceptable.

My local salvation army treats people like crap, 2nd class citizens probably get treated better. If I need to go to a food pantry, I avoid this one like a plague.

I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by BCT Transit. Too often, drivers see passengers waiting at designated bus stops and continue driving without stopping. I've also experienced buses arriving early at school campuses and leaving before passengers even have a chance to reach the stop.

Another major concern is safety and cleanliness. There are frequent situations where passengers with extremely poor hygiene or strong odors remain on the bus, making the ride uncomfortable for everyone. In addition, I have witnessed individuals openly carrying and attempting to sell items that appear to be stolen, and there are ongoing concerns about theft from passengers' bags. This creates an unsafe environment for riders.

BCT Transit should focus on improving driver accountability, ensuring buses follow scheduled arrival times, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and enforcing policies that protect paying passengers. The community deserves reliable, safe, and respectful public transportation.

Terrible donation pick up service in Homestead, FL. They messed up twice and I would have needed to reschedule a third time, because of their incompetence and carelessness. On the first scheduled date, they never called and didn't come to pick up my donations. The second time, they messed up by not taking down the full and complete information. I tried hard, but on their end there was a lack of desire to do things right. I don't need the stress and wasted time!

Salvation Army has abandoned the british public, they no longer help the british homeless or vulnerable.

We have two Salvation Army’s one in San Bernardino, Ca one in Redlands, Ca. I can see why the difference in experience in reviewing. The one in Redlands, Ca is the total opposite of the one in San Bernardino. In Redlands they offer no assistance and won’t take your donation unless things are in boxes. Not friendly. In San Bernardino it’s the complete opposite they come say good morning they help unload thank you for your donation. Now to be fair I haven’t donated to the Redlands SA, for almost 4 yrs I can only hope it’s different but have never had the desire to go back. I’m beyond happy with how I’m treated at the SA San Bernardino .

I regret thinking this was a serious capable organization. We left perfect good things that we chose not to give to others. scheduled a pick up and they arrived super late and said they did not have time would come another day. That other day we needed to leave the house. That same day trusting as they promise they would be there, they call and say they had an accident and cannot come. Therefore we are left struggling trying to find a same day service paying who knows how much as we are out of time, for someone to pick this stuff up. It is incredible! we trusted then could have sold it, could have donated to a serious organization but one day they don't have time and then the next they leave us hanging and give us no solution. Shame on you!!!!!!!!!!

My daughter and I shopped at the Salvation Army at 16119 Brookhurst St, Fountain Valley, CA on 1/24/26. We got many good items and clothes. Mr. Charles is an employees there, he is friendly and kind. He goes around the store and help customers to the right aisle.
He is very enthusiastic and has a big smile when he help us and others.

Their donation pick-up drivers are going to kill someone with their reckless driving, cutting people off, speeding, etc. Whoever was driving for your company on 610 heading out of Blaine, MN and heading towards Minneapolis, MN on Tuesday, March 10th, at 11:00AM cut me off so hard right before the 252 split that I almost ended up in a ditch. Do better!

Supporting the Salvation Army is like washing your hands with dirty water - You feel clean (virtuous) for helping, but you're using a substance (an institution) that carries an inherent stain (bigotry).

This place had always helped my mother when in need and has helped me when needed. Everybody should give to the Salvation Army.

I called the Lynchburg branch for rental assitance Monday the lady took my information and would have someone call me back that never happen. I called back in Tuesday the guy said we dknt service your area when I was making donations in the past I didnt ask where the donations were going or what area. I called headquarters and they told me to call Lynchburg I said I did.not in my service area she said that is what they told you I said yes. I said i will call them back the lady answer the phone I asked for rental assitance we dont have the funding well did you have monday or Tuesday when I was turn down and my phone call was not return.

Can't understand the charity shops approach to donors. I am 78 and I have to downsize, telephones the Wakefield shop told the lady I haves boxes and boxes of very beautiful ornaments , glass wear which I have held onto since my lovely wife passed never wanting to let them go.Also have Sony dvd player, Humax Freeview recorder, 60+ CDs computer games, almost new printer boxed and lots of additional things. Woman wasn't interested because I couldn't get them there, just kept saying "we only collect large furniture items" Well all I can say is you missed out badly here, I consider 8 large boxes mens clothes and other things to be a large item, I will never ask again.

They are getting paid by the Australian government to help but after 4 months nothing, they have not even kept any of their obligations not one.

The Salvation Army here in Lubbock is an absolute nightmare!!!! Ever since our case manager, Tammy, and the director, Erica, found out that we were here, they've been trying to get rid of us. And they have finally succeeded because they want us to abuse our emotional support cat by making us take him in the car with us everywhere, even though it's extremely hot outside, and much hotter in our car. Our cat is 18 years old and leaving an animal in a hot car like that for any amount of time in animal abuse. Period!! No, the air conditioning is not good enough to keep our cat safe. And most cats hate riding in cars, our does too, so he's not able to be an emotional support cat. We're all extremely stressed out when we have to take him anywhere in the car. So, they're kicking us out. Oh, and they're blaming a sewer smell on our cat. The smell will still be here after we leave. I smell it constantly in the laundry room.

They never had any intentions of helping me and my son improve our situation. They want me to find a full-time job, which I've been trying to do. I've provided them proof of all of the jobs that I've applied for, and I've had several interviews. The problem is that if I get a job, they won't let my son and our emotional support cat stay here. Where are they supposed to go??? They can't go to work with me when I get a job. Pure ignorance and major unprofessionalism!!! I've contacted the Salvation Army corporate office and filed a complaint on them. So, they're kicking us out sooner. I've also contacted the media as well. We aren't the only ones that they're treating horrible. I can't believe what a nightmare this place is!! They are NOT following the Salvation Army's Code of Conduct at all!!!

Honestly, I'm extremely embarrassed for them and how obsessed they are with treating homeless people! And my son and I are victims of domestic abuse that is still happening today, and they're just adding to it. It's unbelievable!!! I've talked with other residents here and they have all confirmed that they've also been bullied and harassed by Tammy and Erica. They've also complained about how long we've been here, but there are other residents that have been here longer than us and its no big deal.

Update on 9/5/2024: In fact, I've talked with a woman that we met while we were there. She and her daughter were at the Salvation Army before we stayed there and they're still there today. I'm really grateful that they have a safe place to live until they're able to find a permanent home. But again, they literally threw a hissy fit about us being there for about 45 days, insisting that they only help people temporarily, around 30 days, but they still absolutely REFUSED to help us improve our situation. Over 3 months later, that sweet lady and her daughter are still there and its no big deal. Talk about MAJOR HYPOCRITES!!!!!!
