Good customer service at poltronesofa

On our visit to your store we were greeted by friendly knowledgeable and helpful staff.
A special mention to Jav who put us at ease and helped us throughout our decision making.
Also like to mention Dave who was also very friendly.
On service alone we would recommend poltronesofa to others.

First contacts and sofa purchase went…

First contacts and sofa purchase went well.

However our concerns are:

Length of time from order to delivery, over 3 months.

High cost of delivery, £129.

No choice given of delivery date, no choice given of am/pm delivery. Approximate delivery time of 2pm to 2.15pm notification was sent at 6.30 am on Thursday 28th May. Delivery was finally made after 6pm. There was no communication from the delivery team or admin to let us know of any hold-up. Nor was the local store able to give any information on the delivery ETA.

We have bought other pieces of furniture from local retailers recently and without doubt, this has been the worst delivery for customer care.

In addition, we also had to contact the local store to find out about the sofa insurance and aftercare service. This information should have been given to us on delivery or beforehand.

However, the sofa itself is lovely and we are very pleased with it. Nevertheless, we would find it difficult to wholeheartedly recommend SCS for 100% customer satisfaction.

I am sorry to see that you had some concerns following your order with us.

As all furniture is made to order it does come with a lead time for delivery. The dates provided are estimated and can change by 4 weeks either side, as per the order terms and conditions.
I can see that your furniture was delivered within this time frame however apologise if this was longer than you may have hoped for.

In regards to delivery, any timeslots provided are estimated as the crew can come across unexpected delays on the day. I apologise for any lack of communication around this and will ensure that your feedback is passed to our Distribution Centre as this helps us to improve moving forward.

I am pleased to see that you are happy with your furniture and again I am sorry that we did not meet your expectations on this occasion.

Quando sono andata al negozio per la…

Quando sono andata al negozio per la prima volta, Stefi mi ha promesso la consegna gratuita, dato che abito molto vicino al negozio. Ho scelto un modello in saldo. Durante le prime conversazioni mi aveva detto che il colore del divano non aveva importanza, che il prezzo non sarebbe cambiato. Ho scelto il giallo. Un'altra bugia che Stefani mi ha detto è stata che mi sarebbe stato consegnato dopo circa 3-4 settimane. Al momento dell'acquisto, il prezzo è salito alle stelle. Ho pagato sia la consegna che il colore e non c'è stato alcun sconto. Se all'inizio mi aveste detto che avrei dovuto aspettare tre mesi per la consegna, non avrei mai comprato un divano da voi. Per il resto, tutti nel negozio sono stati molto gentili.

All of the staff were so helpful without being overbearing. Stef provided guidance without being intrusive. I was swinging between to sofas and her guidance helped me make the right decision. I cannot be happier with both the sofa and the experience. Thank you Stef

Very relaxed

Very relaxed. Wandered round Edinburgh Straiton store with a coffee. Very friendly non-pressure staff. Explain how stores work then leave you to browse. Massive choice of fabrics and colours. And huge choice of styles. Sales process very relaxed.

Great choice of settees, friendly knowledgeable staff

My wife and I were impressed by the relaxed lay out and the wide choice of settees in the shop.
The manager of the shop was friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about every aspect of his products.
We were happy with the settee we chose, it looks good, is very comfortable and the reduced price was a big factor in our decision to buy it.
The deputy manager took our payment
and she too was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. This is a well run shop with good products and excellent staff

Visiting Poltronesofa

First ,welcomed by a very nice young chap Dave ,very helpful , friendly and made us feel relaxed.
Not hounding us for a sale , professional and did his job very well .
We purchased our furniture .
Looking forward to seeing it in our home.

diabolical, disorganised, frustrating

Buying from the store was great. Beyond that, diabolical, disorganised, frustrating and should be an eye opener for anyone looking to buy an SCS sofa.

It’s important to point out at this time, sofa due 12/5/26. Baby is due in the preceding days. Store inform us it’s not an issue, they will work around us and the baby’s due date (sounds great until reality comes)….More on that below.

You’re provided a day to expect your sofa and a time window, sounds great right. You take the adequate time away from the hospital only to find the sofa isn’t arriving.

The call centre are helpful to a point (4/5 calls) as they are the go between for communication with the ultimately responsible distribution centre, who are never available (probably always answering calls regarding complaints!).

Next day comes, no update from distribution centre, so we get a morning email and text update to say our couch was due today. I leave hospital to head home and prepare. Enroute we both get a notification to say our couch has been delivered!!! Panic sets in, we check cameras etc but nothing.

Our login, our live updates and even the call centre say our delivery is complete!! I eventually get a callback from the call centre who requested an update from distribution centre to say ‘sorry that was a mistake’, ‘your sofa will be along later today but were unable to provide you a live update or timeframe’. Another day wasted.

Distribution centre is called again via call centre and a callback is requested. Callback comes and we’re promised the delivery to take place between 10-12 next day.

Another morning away from hospital to meet delivery. Our expectations are low, we’re not convinced it’s going to happen, and sure enough, 10am-12pm passes, no delivery.
Call centre advise us to call the store we bought from, we did. Unfortunately the person I spoke with, whilst listening to my rant and apologizing for the service only added to the issue with yet another broken promise of a callback with an update. D’oh!!

Next I put another call to call centre and distribution centre to request a callback.

Thankfully, Andy from AMD (an external contractor) has now been given my delivery.

He calls, provides an apology and a timeframe. Upon arrival he was polite, considerate and helpful.

Sofa now in. 3 days later, 8+ calls to call centre, insurmountable broken promises, and not a peep from distribution centre, store or call centre.

You best reconsider the other sofa store you have visited.

I am sorry to read about the issues with your delivery and the inconvenience that this must have caused for you going back and forwards from the hospital. I can completely understand any frustration and appreciate that this is not the level of service that you deserve as a valued customer.
