Some of the check out staff have a really bad attitude. This has happened to myself twice now. Very rude and think that they are doing us as customers a favour. Both of these men where young white men with one having a beard. Telling me when I questioned his attitude to shop at another store if I did not like his attitude,and having a bad attitude is universal these days. I am of mixed race and look Arab. So I don't know if its something that gets them going as the feeling in the UK is anyone looking like that is a illegal immigrant. I have been buying my DIY items at this particular store for manys years and i have never been treated this badly before, But I will never shop there again as I think it is pure racism, as I observed their interactions with Caucasians is much different to how they treated me on both occasions. The other staff especially the two ladies I spoke to about this issue were fantastic. A couple of rotten apples can damage your reputation. Very disappointed and disheartened.

Lisa was marvellous..... welcoming, patient, helpful, knowledgeable and all with a great smile! All staff should be like this. thankyou!

Fantastic service today from Selco Liverpool an in particular Steve their delivery driver. His help with the delivery ensured we were able to get on with our project immediately. Five stars well deserved !

I was about to do a small project of getting the ceiling and walls done, and I came across Bianca. She was truly amazing, helping me out with patience, courtesy and passion for her work.

Customers like me sometimes may come across asking questions, simply to understand how the process works, hence to get the job done cost-effectively.

Terrible customer service
I went a day and asked if they would cut a worktop in half and they said yes, I brought ir in next weekend and. They refused to do it because I did not buy it there despite the fact I was clear when I initially asked. A lady at the old Kent road came in and even thought the guy working there wanted to cut it she refused and did not allow him to do it, o top of that she was dismissive and rude. I would never ver buy anything in Selco again

ordered 2 tonnes of bark two weeks ago online, arranged for delivery for 27/10/2025 as the contract was for a school and the work needed to be done during half term, i was contacted Friday 24th October to confirm delivery would be for the Monday and they were in their words 'looking at the stock now', received an another call an hour later to be told they didnt have my order in stock!! They said to wait till Monday and the delivery guy will go pick some up. I waited till today and was told that the order would be delivered today or tomorrow. I received another call later on to be told they couldnt source my order and they would issue a refund. Absolutely no care was given to the fact this was under a tight deadline and putting me at risk of breach of contract, they just basically said they could give me my order but i needed to pay more money as they couldnt do it at that price (even though its still being advertised on their website) SCAM artists. Shoddy, unprofessional service and i would advise all traders to avoid at all costs!!!! Waste of time!!!

Today I visited the Selco Catford branch, and I would like to leave a compliment for a staff member named Karen. She was extremely patient, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all my questions thoroughly. Her service was outstanding — she provided detailed information and was very helpful throughout. I truly appreciate her assistance and would strongly recommend her. She is brilliant!

Booked a delivery over a week in advance ( I am a builder) paid for it emphasising it must be 08:00 drop no later than 09:00 its now 11:10 and still no call or delivery this company are absolutely Sh1t

Libby was fantastic so helpful and went out of her way to locate products in other stores

Good price online, just received delivery of paving slabs bang on time as promised (unlike some suppliers!) which of course is crucual when you're on a job and time is everything! Friendly lads delivering, haven't checked the whole pallet yet but the paving slabs do look in good shape.
