Ordered refurbished headphones that arrived within a few days and in retail packaging security sealed by Sony as Sony refurbished product. The headphones are indistinguishable from brand new but came at a significant discount. They also threw in a free 3 year Sony warranty. I’ve always been dubious of refurb but never again. Brilliant company, excellent service. I would give more stars if I could.

Had been on the lookout for a pair of Sony WH-1000XM4s for a while before discovering the refurbished sets on the Falkirk Sony Centre. The team there were very helpful, answering promptly to my live chat questions even outside of office hours.
Major shoutout to Dean too - while I was messaging for info about the refurbs the pair I was looking at were purchased and the headphones then displayed as ‘out of stock’. Dean not only gave me an idea of when he hoped to receive more stock, he actually emailed to notify me when they arrived. Amazing service!
As for the headphones, they look pristine. I charged them when I got them and, after two weeks with 1 hour use per day, they still have over half their charge. So the battery is good as new too.

No issues with the service from Falkirk Sony Centre - item arrived quickly and shows no signs of use. Unfortunately the earbuds themselves really are disappointing, I'm genuinely quite shocked by the lack of depth to the sound. I'm not generally a fan of bass heavy music, but the complete absence of bass from these is startling, there's just no warmth of richness to it. This is obviously an exaggeration, but the thought which keeps popping into my head it's that it's like listening to a tinny portable 90s radio! And yes I have gone through the proper setup (including taking pictures of my ear to be analysed), installed the 360 Reality Audio app and messed about with the various EQ settings.

I previously used Bose SoundSport Free, which cost £90 in 2021 (also refurbished like these). These were £129 - cheaper than from many other retailers, but the deficit in quality is stark.

Unfortunately since there is no discernible fault with the M4s I'm stuck with them. Again that's obviously standard policy with things like earbuds, wouldn't be different from any other retailer. Frustrating though!

Second time using Sony Centre Falkirk and they are second to none. Superb customer service and support also no pressure to purchase. Big shout out to Craig who went through the options available for a new TV. From sale to install was really fast too. Makes a huge difference dealing with a smaller business who are professional and have customer service as a priority. Dean and his team are great to deal with.
