Bought a focus 3 weeks ago, no issues with it. Happy with the deal I got, let me test drive it alone, so I managed to pull over and have a 5 minute private look at it all. Would buy from again. 3 month warranty a bonus.
Do not go near this car dealer ship! They clearly don't care about their customers or the way they treat their cars.
Drove an hour to view a red Mitsubishi ASX, rang a few hours before to check it was available and to book a viewing. They knew what time I was coming.
Got greeted by some man who gave me the keys and said drive it out and have a look and then pretty much walked off.
Proceed to head to the car. Never driven one before and didn't know how to find all the adjustment, your man was busy on the phone and showed me vety hastily then walked off again!!
Had a look around while I was awaiting and within just a few seconds I knew I didn't want anything to do with the car. It wasn't clean inside!! MUD on the backseats, CHEWING GUM WRAPPERS on the passenger seat and on the floor. It's clearly being used as a company car so something.
If I'm viewing a car for 7,500£, I'd expect the car to at least have been valeted!! Told the other man in the shop that I was no longer interested in the car as it wasn't even clean. Couldn't even see the seller as he was clearly busy elsewhere on the phone..

Hi Anna, sorry to read you have had a poor experience but I think the review you have written is meant for a different company which may have a similar name to ourselves. Excellent work of Newly Staff
The Greensmiths are all lovely men to begin with- always friendly, helpful and understanding.
Their level of technical ability shows through their long standing family run business, and their advice is always "fixing the problem" and not money motivated.
I can not recommend these guys enough, as in my 15 years of driving I think SG Motors have been the best Sheffield garage I've encountered. Especially if you own a Mazda MX5.

Hi Sergio, Great to hear you have had a good service, but I think you have left this review for ourselves in error. It looks like it should be for SG Motors who are based in Sheffield. We are a van leasing company in Ellesmere port cheshire. Similar name but very different business
Very clearly, I asked john: 1 Has the van had any damage repairs. 2 Has any paint applied. John reassured me it was all original and I trusted him. I believed what he said and bought the van. Since then, I have discovered the back bumper has been ripped off and badly re-fitted, the passenger door has been bashed in and repainted, the drivers-side front wing has been caved in and very badly repaired. Being a professional in this industry, of course john knew about these issues, so he lied. My mind is uneasy about what else he's lied about. Take a mechanic with you if you feel you must deal with this man. Very, very, disappointed but I guess It's my fault for trusting him.

many thanks for leaving a review of your experience with sg motor holdings I value all feedback positive or negative.
I am however somewhat disappointed to have read that you are not happy with the purchase of your 2016 peugeot partner van and the issues you have raised do concern me.
I recall the initial conversation we had and the 2 questions you asked regarding paint and damage and I can categorically confirm that at no point have we applied any paint work or repaired any damage to this vehicle nor do I have any knowledge of paintwork or damage repairs being carried out on the van prior to ourselves purchasing it, as you know from visiting our location we don’t have the facilities here to carry out such work.
The majority of our vans we sell are ex fleet 1 owner low mileage with full service history and are of a very high standard, so the issues you have raised regarding the various paintwork and damage problems are news to me.
On your initial visit to view the van you had a good look around it and seemed very happy with the quality of the van and again on your second visit when you collected it.
At no point during the 2 visits to ourselves did you raise any concerns regarding quality or damage and infact left our office thanking me for such an easy and pleasant transaction.
You purchased the vehicle from ourselves on 05/09/20 and at no time since have you made contact with myself to raise any issue you may have regarding the van or its quality until this review. At point of sale I always remind our customers that should they have any problems or concerns not to hesitate to contact me and I will do my upmost to rectify any problems.
Touching on your point that I have lied to you regarding the condition of the vehicle is extremely unfair and unfounded, I describe all our sales vehicles as best as I can given the information I have to hand and on this occassion I have no prior knowledge of any previous damage or paintwork repair nor was I aware of such repair or paintwork what so ever on the van. We both spent time inspecting the vehicle on your initial visit and I remember you were very particular regarding paintwork and at no point did you raise a concern.
I am at a loss as to why you have not made contact with me if you feel so strongly that you have been misled or lied to and should you wish to discuss this with me, I am only to happy to take your call to discuss your concerns.

I’m writing this review on behalf of my dad as he is useless with technology. I recently bought a used ranger wildtrak from sg motor holdings after looking around and visiting many dealers. I found there approach to the whole sale process refreshing. There was no hard sell, no hidden fees and no negatives what so ever. Everything was easy and straight forward from the first call I made to taking delivery of my pick up. I dealt with John who we that extra mile to get me a deal. I would certainly go back again for my next vehicle and have already recommended them to some work pals who need new vans. Thanks guys, great work.

I previously leased my vehicle with Northgate; for many years. I wish I had come across Sgmotorholdings earlier than I did! There level of service is excellent and they sourced the exact van I was looking for; with a much higher spec....and for a fraction of the cos!. Would strongly recommend.
From start to the pick up of the vans John made sure everything was ready paperwork had all been done and the whole experience was great.
we will be getting more vans from them as we go along.
I only run a small business but the van is probably one of the most important and expensive tools I have , so I had to get it right
I’ve dealt with john and his business 3 times now and on all occasions he’s been upfront, honest and a pleasure to deal with on the purchase of 3 vans in total, and in fact in all credit to john my first van ,I had specific requirements and at the time there was a Uk shortage of the van I wanted and the spec I desired. John had none in stock but rang round his contacts and found me one at no profit to himself or his business as I had to purchase it off his contact. John was just happy to help out and said the way he looked at it his business had still impressed myself and I’d be back in the future, which I have for two Renault traffic s.
