It was so easy to book our annual gas boiler service, there was no problem even when we had to change the date at short notice. Their engineer arrived on time, remembered to phone for access and was polite, friendly and efficient. We received our safety certificate and invoice straight away, so we will definitely be calling on them again.

Been with this company for years fitted our boiler pay for breakdown with them been without hot water for 2 and half weeks now lack of communication one engineer came out order part when I phoned will fit it on the 19th November oh no so came out 2 days later fitted it then said needed another part that was a week ago just called and they have no clue on what is going on then they will bill me for the inconvenience of it absolutely a joke
Total shower re build
We had a leak under our shower it had been leaking for a long time, We needed the whole shower cubical replaced. stud walls replaced, radiators removed. electrics made safe. plastering,
SGS done a great job , They kept in contact even though we where abroad.
I have used SGS before and thoroughly recommend them. A big thank you to jeff cannot fault his workmanship.

From the first call with Nathan I was impressed with the knowledge and detailed provided by SGS, this only continued during the site visit with Nathan. I had four quotes, SGS the only company to turn up with a tape measure. Making use of all available space and not just guessing. We instructed SGS and I’ve been impressed, the workman ship from Luke and his team was amazing. Scaffolding up on a Monday and down by Friday. The work 1st class, with all wires in trucking, not like other installers. It’s this levels of detail that set SGS apart from the other installers. A friend of ours in the back of our work has instructed SGS for their solar system. Thank you Nathan, Luke and your team 5* from us.
SGS fitted a Dimplex boiler in my flat…
SGS fitted a Dimplex boiler in my flat on 12 June 2025. The fitters broke my door lock and bathroom tap, and also left dirty footprints all over my bathroom floor and hallway floor. Very very poor experience.
Hassle free experience
Booked a boiler service a few weeks in advance. The engineer turned up within the allotted timeframe and was very friendly. Customer service was very good.
Hidden Fees & Lack of Transparency
I was very disappointed with my experience with this company. I was accepted onto their SGS Service Plan, and I was under the impression that the initial inspection was simply part of the process with no extra charge. However, I was later invoiced for the inspection—something I was never informed about. Despite reaching out for clarification, the response I received cited contract clauses that had not been clearly communicated during my application. This lack of transparency and poor communication left me feeling misled and frustrated. I would advise potential customers to ensure all fees and conditions are clearly explained before committing to the service.

A huge THANK YOU to Wilf at SGS, who helped me out on the evening of December 23rd. Talked me through isolating water to a shower system in the attic to stop the water coming through a bedroom ceiling. Excellent service. I’d highly recommend SGS.

Some good, some bad
Excellent company to deal with. We had a Stiebel Eltron heat pump fitted at our Suffolk house. We wanted a heat pump for our second/holiday let property. Contacted SGS. They were fantastic. Good price. We changed a couple of things last minute, trunking for the pipes, changing to a Stiebel Electron ASHP. All if which was no problem. The man from Stiebel came to oversee/check the installation and said it was done to a high standard. Really happy, and warm.
Sadly the same can't be said with the car charger SGS fitted. Major problems not long after fitting car wouldn't charge. Referred us straight to Zappi support.

Solar Panel
We have used SGS Salisbury for many projects more recently the installation of solar panels, batteries, inverter and a car battery charger. From receipt of Nathan Holloway’s quote to structural survey, arrival of scaffolding and installation the SGS team have been first class. Just now waiting for the final paperwork to set up warranties which I understand is in hand.

We've used SGS for a number of jobs over the years, they are always easy to deal with, call when on the way, and carry out the job well.
I like that they email invoices to pay online, makes my life easy.
Another service on the boiler done today - all still in excellent condition.
Poor service
Absolutely disgusting service 1star is still too much.
SGS were booked to come and look at an issue with a leak on our boiler - I waited in for the afternoon and no one showed up (my husband had a missed call from a private number but was at work no message left), when I called at 4pm to chase the engineer they said they couldn't find our home.
After a frustrating conversation they did manage to move stuff around to get to us the following day - so we gave them the benefit of the doubt and booked the repair in for this week yesterday 9-12 arrival.
Firstly they had obviously changed the time or booked it incorrectly, I chased at just after 12 as no one had arrived asking for an ETA, no one called me back so I called again half hour later and the told me at around 1pm they were on the way.
When they arrived they got on with the work and came to tell me it was all done and I'd receive the service paperwork via email great or so I thought, as they were leaving I quickly looked and the boiler cupboard was wonky and a part of it hanging off the wall - I managed to quickly stop them on the driveway to rectify (this is a pretty hard ask at 38weeks pregnant).
The younger lad came back in a continued to adjust the cupboard for 45minutes - he improved it but it wasn't perfect. The man that was training him just sat in the van... Poor guy in my house beating himself up (if this is how you support your staff I'm glad I don't work for you). I was told that a multi trader would come back to sort and I'd receive a phone call.
Then we get to today - I have received an invoice, no paperwork for the service and no talk of anyone coming back to the property, this tells me what kind of company SGS is, only caring about money rather than a level of service.
I have called to get this before paying any invoice only for the lady to get abrupt back with me and tell me there is no manager in and I'll receive a phone call tomorrow, I'm not holding my breath....

Just presented with an invoice for 90 pounds to tighten a compression fitting that they had fitted. Clearly covered by their workmanship warranty. Not for the first time have I have had problems with this company on warranty. If you use them be careful to keep your paperwork.
Needed an emergency electrical job…
Needed an emergency electrical job doing at one of my customers houses yesterday. Called SGS and Dan was there within the hour. Did a fast, efficient job whilst being incredibly professional.
I would have no hesitation in recommending both Dan and SGS.
