Enjoyed our stay but restaurant service very slow

Not at all happy with having homeless people in the hotel coursing trouble will not be returning

We were the only Shearings Self drive people in the hotel .The hotel is tired but staff working very hard to maintain standards. Restaurant staff, food and service were really very good in the circumstances.

Hotel terrible,room like a cupboard,stained carpets only 1 chair, shower unuseable due to no cold water feed, dinners unedible no choice of menu complaints ignored and no reply from Shearings on my complaints to them.No entertainment. Ruined my surprise 80th birthday treat..Not up to Shearings previous standards .

Steve the chef from norbreck sister hotel came each evening to cook our evening meal which was lovely and James and his girlfriend Jack were very helpful met our every need even carried our case to the car as we are both in our 80 s couldn’t fault a thing will return later in the year

Stained towel which I changed,dust behind soap dispenser and in the corridors only the middle of the carpets were hoovered. The food was out of catering packs and was so awful I left most of mine we waited an hour for our main meal and the coffee machine was more times out of order than it was working It is very sad because over 20 years ago this was a well run hotel and always full to bursting now it’s nearly empty. The good points are a beautiful sea view and free wifi but that’s not enough to bring us back unless it dramatically improves.we booked to go to Southlands but was told it wasn’t with Shearings anymore.

Room basic but clean. Staff friendly , food good. No entertainment, no quiz, no free 4 dink vouchers, but Caledonian do all that and are cheaper!
