Do not use this dealership under any circumstances. Utterly diabolical experience. VEHCLE DRIVEN AROUND CARDIFF BAY WITHOUT PERMISSION.

I entrusted my Golf R to them for an MOT I had booked. An hour later, I received a call from Morgan, the service advisor, asking if the car could be sent to a different garage because they were overbooked. I declined this because I have the All in one VW plan and I only Service with VW or VW approved garages.

Shortly after, I checked the app for the Scorpion S7 tracker fitted on the vehicle and discovered a journey. My vehicle has been taken up the dual carriageway and around Cardiff Bay without my permission.

I called them and challenged the service advisor, Morgan. He falsely claimed the car had already been sent out before asking me for permission. He claimed it was going to express garage which is no where near Cardiff Bay!! When I later collected the car (which was serviced at the VW Van Centre instead), Morgan was unapologetic, sarcastic, and dismissive of my concerns about my performance vehicle being driven at speed without authorisation. He told me “if we wanted to drive a Golf R we would”. I was told that the service manager Sarah Behnan had said to send my car somewhere else- WITHOUT MY CONSENT. I showed the tracker app evidence to Tracy at front of house, who advised I contact head of business.

I raised a complaint with Nick Payne (Head of Business). Instead of an apology from those involved or any form of compensation, I was sent a token “hamper” of cheap cakes (pound shop style), which felt insulting given the seriousness of what had happened. I was also told that sometimes they send cars somewhere else and most people wouldn’t mind! But people don’t know!!!! Not everyone has a tracker on their vehicle!!!

This dealership cannot be trusted. Their staff are dishonest, dismissive, and unprofessional. I would strongly advise against leaving your car with them. I am mortified this is how they operate.

I would like to share this experience to warn you that YOUR CAR is not safe with VW Sinclair Cardiff! They drive it around and send it to other places without your knowledge and completely disregard customer consent, trust, and loyalty (3 years in my case). I advise you use VW Newport as they’re professional and do not deceive people.

Martina was amazing from start to finish. She guided us through the whole process in a super professional and patient way that never felt pushy. Would highly recommend heading to Cardiff Volkswagen and asking for Martina!

The entire process of buy a new VW went really well from the initial test drive to the final handover. PC looked after us, tolerated our novice questions (it was our first EV purchase) and made sure that we got the right model for us at the right price.

From the 10th august when i wrote my 1st review, i have just received a reply, today being 21/09/25, so great, thanks for that .
Another problem has now arisen, now the boot will.not open. I've lost all faith in this car with the problems ive had so I'm going down this week to sell back and get another car. Hopefully i will not be ripped off or at least compensated in some way. We will see...not.holding my breath though..

Wow, can't fault the help by Wayne explaining everything I needed to know in detail and showed me how to use everything with the car. Kept me up to date with everything right up to picking the car up. So happy to have chosen Volkswagen and Sinclair.

Sometimes things go wrong, in my case not in any way due to Sinclair, but their response to my problem was absolutely excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to buy a car.

Got a great deal to change and was kept well informed on the progress before I picked up my car. Could not have helped any more. Well worth the 13 hour round trip to get the car.

I decided to go for a new model instead, since my Touran was over ten years old
