The managers are very friendly and professional. Helped me out a lot and made our move to another storage space as painless as possible. Couldn’t ask for a better staff. Prices are steep, but the service and the property are kept to a high standard.

The people running the mount hermon storage center are extremely polite, helpful, and all around likeable. When I was unloading stuff into my storage unit yesterday, it was at the hottest point in the day, and I was drenched in sweat. The gentleman that manages the place was driving by on his golf cart, and made a point of stopping and giving me a bottle of water. That was extremely thoughtful and above and beyond. My only gripe with this facility is the after hours policy. The whole facility is shut down at 7. Which normally isn't a big deal. But when you are moving in or out of a place, sometimes it takes all day to load up your vehicle, and get down to storage or whatnot. And if you are like me, you are generally loading up, packing/unpacking, cleaning, and everything else, all on my own. The last thing on my mind in that situation, is calling the storage unit before 5 o clock, to let them know that I will likely be either getting there around 7, or still unloading into my unit after 7. And if you don't call, and try leaving the property if you are still there, you arent able to leave, and the cops show up automatically. Well I didn't know that part of it, and showed up at 650 the other night. I had been packing all day and it was an hour drive to the facility from where I was moving from. I was exhausted, and just wanted to unload my trailer and go home and pass out. Thankfully, the guy who manages the units, saw me wave at him when I was entering the building with my unit in it. He initially was slightly upset that I was even there. I explained to him that I had called and left a message, to which he replied that it does not mean that I had permission to be there, and informed me that as soon as I tried to leave, the cops would be called. I only had rented the unit a few days before, and was visibly dirty and worn out from moving. I explained my situation and that I only had a small trailer to unload, and that I didn't want to be there any longer than I needed to be. He thankfully was very understanding and said that he coukd override the system so that the cops woukdnt be called, and gave me an hour to unload. He explained the policy to me, and then let me unload my stuff. I understand why the policy is in place, and im lucky he saw me. But if he hadn't, I would have been stopped by the cops, given a violation at the facility, and who knows what other ramifications would come from it too. That is a bit over the top for trying to leave a place that you pay to store your stuff at, a few minutes or more after 7 o clock at night. Im grateful that the manager was reasonable or it would have added a ton of stress, to an already stressful situation.

I started with a 5x5 unit because that’s all they had available. I later upgraded to a 10x15. I’m very happy with this unit. There was, however, some confusion about my wait list status. Apparently my name had been removed from the list, but I found out about the 10x15 just because I was at my 5x5 when I got to speaking with David and and he mentioned that the 10x15 had just opened up. Right place at the right time!

Easy to rent, clean.

I was greeted by David in the office, and very pleased with his business manner mixed with care for people. When in less then 24 hours I found I needed a bigger unit he took the time to figure out the best size and price for my needs and happily did all that was needed to fix me up with what I needed. The facility is in a great location for me, is very clean, no signs anywhere of bugs or rodents, (a big problem in many storage facilitys) and has great accesses hours. I recommend Smart Self Storage as the place to use.

Helpful staff always. Clean, well lit and secure. Highly recommend.
