I bought one and it lasted 3 years of very little use , I sent it to snooper for repair and was told it was irreparable . I bought a second one which has lasted longer but as a few others on here I couldn’t update the maps and the update program removed the ones I had. Resulted in buying a new sd card which was very pricey and at 5 years old it has started with the issues the first one had ,meanwhile my 17 year old tomtom is going strong.It has a dash cam inbuilt but the windscreen bracket interferes with the view and obscures part of the image. I would not buy again.

Sorry to learn of your problems however what you write is not true. All our products less than 8 years old can still be updated. You have not written the model of your Snooper so it is difficult for us to verify your review as true. I have requested more information so we can contact you directly and learn the age of your product. Remember lifetime maps are free our products have a 12 months warranty.

Been with snooper (truckmate) decades
Been with snooper (truckmate) over 10 years don't get me wrong with 5 stars you get the occasional glitch with products sometimes it's my fault sometimes not but the tech team and customer services are always on hand to get you back up and running as quickly as possible. Recently I tried a competitors truck satnav as mine had crashed (out of warranty) within 2 days of using it I'd sent mine off for testing and repair and once returned I sold the other satnav within days. I will never buy a different brand of truck satnav again. I also had the dvr4hd for a time which was also very good the software was awkward to use but also wasn't required either if you just wanted to view video without map and speed details. I believe the software has been updated since as its best part of 10 years since I tried it. All in all Snooper as company are brilliant there are products for all needs. Give them a try you won't be disappointed....

Bought to replace a series of Road…
Bought to replace a series of Road Angel Gems. Functional and robust it does the job. My major criticism is that the maximum volume on the alert is too low. For convertibles or to be heard over the radio it is an unnecessary issue .

Great product , I would purchase again
Great product, I have had a snooper sat nav for 5 years now and honestly it's excellent, the ability to customise the colour schemes make for easy viewing. Updates are free and relatively easy to do. The only reason I have not given snooper 5 stars is, the live traffic updates are terrible.
Would I purchase another snooper , yes most definitely.

Would you believe it i read this morning ,and used my snooper sat nav yesterday to find a farm to take the wife for her first clay Pidgeon shoot, and she his old will not say her age but she was born in 1950s , snooper or good products and was after a dash cam so who knows.

Snooper Dash Cams - Simply amazing bit of kit.
I recently purchased 2x Snooper dash cams, one for my van and one for my wife's car. They where both very easy to install and set up. These do not have a screen on them, so I downloaded the app from Google play store and connected to the camera. This allowed me to see live view to help with setting up the best location in my car. The dash cam automatically detects incidents and locks the memory of said incident to prevent it from being overwritten. Once a week, I connect with the app and download all the videos that have been 'locked'.
We have been helped by the dash cam on 2 occasions already. 1 of the times involved someone driving on the wrong side of the road and another time was a road rage incident.
Would I recommend Snooper products? Absolutely!

Lifetime maps are always honoured.
If your device cannot cope with the amount of data due to the data size (usually meaning your device is over 6 years old) then the device can no longer support the map size which is available today.
While we appreciate this is not what you like to hear, your device will still work and still be fully functional.
To clarify, Maps for life = the life of the unit.
