Dear Sir,
We have read the negative review which you left today about our services.
We are sincerely sorry you feel dissatisfied about our review of the purchase contract.
Those costs which we agreed were for legal advice only, not for recovering your deposit from the notary. Over our extensive correspondence, it became apparent that, as your lawyers, we weren't given the full picture by you. In spite our requests, you never provided us with a full copy of the documentation needed to fully appraise the situation. Moreover, those legal grounds upon which you intended to rely to claim your deposit back were not founded.
You were obviously disappointed by the fact that our analysis of the legal position was not a 'clear cut' conclusion in your favour. You subsequently asked us to carry out extra work, by claiming your deposit back from the French notary on your behalf, in spite of the fact we did not have all the necessary copy evidence to do so, something we said we would be prepared to undertake, at extra cost and subject to us obtaining a copy of the missing documents/correspondence. You rejected our discounted fixed fee proposal for undertaking the above and did not provide us with a copy of the requested necessary missing documents.
You now claim having instructed us to recover your deposit from the French notaire - which is false. Your comments are defamatory. Complaints are not illegal, but libel and intentional defamation can have legal recourse.
Yours faithfully,
