Be aware of the “handling fee” for returns

I’m not sure how they expect to run a company focused on swimsuits where every time you try one on, it costs $15 to return if it doesn’t fit. I ordered one single swim suit and that is how much it cost to send this tiny plastic package back when it was unflattering. Nothing was mentioned about this in the cart so be aware of it if you’re placing an order.

THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM. I ORDERD A DRESS AND IT DID NOT FIT. I SENT IT BACK FOR AN EXCHANGE AND THEY CHARGED ME A RESTOCKING FEE. SO I AM SUPPOSED TO ORDER SOMETHING ELSE AND IF DOES NOT FIT AND I NEED TO EXCHANGE I WILL YET ANOTHER RESTOCKING FEE. THIS RESTOCKING FEES ON TOP OF RESTOCKING FEES. SCAM SCAM SCAM THEY PROPABLY MAKE THE BULK OF THEIR MONEY ON RESTOCKING FEES. HIGHLY DISTURBING.

Pleasantly Surprised! A+ Transaction

I had read some of the negative reviews and was expecting a negative experience to some level, but I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Caroline Maxi Dress on January 14th received it today January 17th( Super fast shipping) The dress is absolutely beautiful!

Lack of Trust in the Customer

I purchased a dress for an Xmas vacation to
Puerto Rico and returned the dress promptly before I left as it didn't fit well. It was also expensive so I wanted to make sure it got returned before the Xmas rush.
As I hadn't heard anything or received a refund in early January I contacted customer service? After multiple emails they said the item was 'stained' and sent me some images of an item which did not resemble the pristine black sundress I had returned. After a 20 second try on- Come on people!
There is a process issue and intrinsic lack of trust in the customer. I have asked for my 'stained' dress to be returned as officially I still own it. I will update you. I suggest shopping somewhere that has transparent trustworthy customer service.

Shady Return/Exchange Policy

I had been eyeing a bikini for Christmas, and ordered it when 30% off for Cyber weekend according to the size chart. Upon receipt of bikini, it was WAY too small and I went to go return, or at least exchange. Apparently, all sale items are final sale. Perhaps it was on me to read the fine print, but that's a weird & shady policy to have as a business. I understand final sale on items heavily discounted, but a regular sale? My cart also had no warning of the bikini being final sale, otherwise I would not have bought considering the sizing risk. Now I have $150 worth of bathing suit that doesn't even fit me. NEVER ordering from the site again. Additionally, the return policy is that you must return items within 14 days from original purchase date. That leaves about 2-3 days for a return by the time it gets to your house. A shame, considering how cute the clothes are. A 'high end' brand with CHEAP, disrespectful customer service.

Do not order for their website

I had the same experience as many other customers who have left reviews. Solid & Striped is not a reputable company. They do not issue refunds even after you return an item, and the only way to contact them is by email. If you need an issue resolved, be prepared to wait weeks for a response. I had to reach out more than a dozen times about a refund that was never issued. In the end, I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company. UPS confirmed my return, their warehouse confirmed my return, yet they claimed they could not issue a credit without “escalating” it—an escalation that never seemed to lead anywhere.

They Will Not Refund Your Return

As many other reviews already state, they will not refund you after returning an item. My item was delivered back to their warehouse two months ago, and they have still not processed my refund, with no real response from their customer service team. I'll have to escalate it with my bank now. Be careful ordering from them, as they do not honor returns. This was my first and last time shopping with them.

Terrible Customer Service

Their customer service team does not respond, they ignore emails and never give updates. Their return/refund policy states that it takes 2-3 weeks to process returns but I've been waiting close to 2 months. Do not shop here, there are plenty of other bathing suit companies that have an actual customer service team that cares about their customers. Solid and Striped is a scammy and shady company. Filed a dispute with my bank.

HORRIBLE customer service

HORRIBLE customer service! Please please do yourself a favor and do not shop with them!!!!
I ordered a dress from them a few months back. I tried returning the dress immediately after I received it due to it being horrible quality.
I couldn’t reach them for a month for a return label, finally someone responded and okayed my return. I returned my dress, and no one responded to me that they received it.. I emailed them asking for status on my return and apperantly they decided that the dress “has been worn” so they didn’t approve my return, even though the dress was not worn, I asked for them to send my dress back to me since they didn’t want to refund me. It’s been a little over two months… I emailed them to see when they will ship my “worn” dress back, and guess what, they said “we assumed you didn’t want the dress so we no longer have it”!!!!!!! Whaaaaaat?! I paid $450 for the dress plus tax… and shipping so it was over $500. And they assumed that I didn’t want it so they decided to get rid of it. Please don’t shop with them 🥺

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

I have ordered two dresses and a bikini from them. Unfortunately, all were too big for me. I have posted it back to them, as they have provided the return label via DHL. The tracking shows they have received my return on 3rd October 2024. I am still awaiting for the refund to be issued. Their customer service is not helpful, so I have approached PayPal, that have suggested to escalate this issue to the Fraud Team. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Customer service is abysmal.

Read the reviews, the customer service team are basically non-existent, and when they do reply, it's rude and evasive at best.

It took weeks to send an order that was arriving domestically (over the given timeframe also), which meant I almost had to leave the country and miss the delivery altogether. No sniff of an apology.

I sent back an item which showed as received on tracking, and it took over 3 weeks AND me chasing for them to process it. I would literally never buy from them again.

Horrible experience

Horrible experience. The swimsuit took more than two weeks to ship, wrong size. Wanted to return it but was past the return window (because it took TWO WEEKS to ship). They said I could return, but their "returns portal was down" so I would have to pay postage and customs on the INTERNATIONAL order myself. This would cost me more to return than the swimsuit is worth! Can't get a response back other than something automated.

Impossible to contact customer service. Phone number doesn't work. Chat on website doesn't work. Get the stupidest emails back from customer service after waiting weeks, or just automated emails trying to "guess" what your problem is.

I will neverrrrr buy from this company again. Swimsuits are an okay quality, but for a brand that is trying to be a bit more upscale... this experience was utterly ridiculous.

Non existent customer service. 2 months since I have received a damaged item and have not received a refund even though they have sent emails saying this is initiated. Now having to do a dispute through my bank. Do not expect any response from their customer service.

I ordered something but rec'd a diff…

I ordered something but rec'd a different item.
I asked for a return and a refund. They offered a different amount from what i paid for.
This despite numerous emails showing what i actually paid for.
The error is CLEARLY on their end.
But sadly they just don't get it. SMH
Their refusal to see actual facts is wildly frustrating.

Do not buy from this company

I am 57 years old and have never written a review. They are the worst I have ever dealt with. Do not purchase from this company I wish I had read the reviews prior to ordering from them. I ordered 3 items and received 1 yet charged for the 3. I can not talk to anyone. They will not call back, no respone to the numerous customer service emails I have sent. Rating a 1 is too high. They should not be in business
