Today
Today, on January 24th, 2025, we decided to visit the Spotted Dog in Cold Ash, a place we hadn't been to since the pandemic started in 2020. Under new management, our friends had praised its cuisine. To our delight, the menu offered a diverse selection. My wife enjoyed the Seabass, and I opted for the chicken curry. Both meals were superb, served hot, with generous portions, and the curry had the ideal level of spice. Overall, it was an excellent dining experience. The staff were welcoming, and the pub had a pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Excellent buffet for any event
We recently held the wake for my husband at The Spotted Dog. The buffet was substantial and gave everyone a lovely lunch and time to reflect, before returning home. Kevin and his team were wonderful and I would highly recommend his place to host your special events.

We had not been to the Spotted Dog in…
We had not been to the Spotted Dog in Cold Ash since Covid in 2020. Since then it had changed ownership and friends had told us how good the food was. So we went there today (24th Jan 2025), and were pleasantly surprised to find a good range of choices on their menu. We ordered the Seabass for my wife and I had their chicken curry. Both dishes were excellent - good portion size, arrived hot and the curry was perfectly spiced. All in all a very good meal. Service is very friendly and the pub has a good ambience so would recommend.
