With the amount of Solicitors all working within a small area and not familiar with any I felt we picked very wisely. Due to not living in the same town my concern was not being able to drop in if any issues arose . I did not need to worry as all correspondence was very swiftly and effectively dealt with . And the end result being a very professional job at a very sad time . This I appreciated very much , it really helped me to get on with dealing with My Grief . Invaluable .

The review below is my inference on what may have taken place. Stephen Rimmer has failed to provide any proof which contradicts my assertions.
In fact I have received a threatening ‘letter before action’ from this firm.
I am not a client of Stephen Rimmer, but this firm acted as receivers of funds for the purchase of a holiday lodge apparently owned by Royale Resorts, the vendor. It has since come to light that that the vendor was not the full owner of the lodge, it being used as security for another company.
I maintain that Stephen Rimmer, acting under the solicitors code of practice, may have acted negligently or fraudulently in receiving payments for onward transmission to a vendor, which should have given me full title to the asset, which is being disputed by another set of lawyers, Field Fisher.
Naturally Stephen Rimmer assert that as I was not their client they do not have a duty of care towards me, but if they have received my payments on behalf of their client they should have exercised due diligence that the vendor had sole title to the asset which should have been transferred to me.
In view of this set of circumstances I have referred the matter to the legal ombudsman for review.

Stephen Rimmer have asked me to remove this.
If they can show that anything I am saying is untrue I will do so.

I have very little confidence in them.
My completion date was 1st March 2024, it's now the 19th March 2024, yet to hear from my solicitor. No reply to my emails, left a voice message, little if any communication or update. I'm still awaiting answers to my enquiries, i even paid the whole fee upfront thinking it would save time as they wouldn't have to chase me for funds.I'm buying via a modern auction so has to exchange on the 1st April or I lose the flat and my reservation fee, I'm seriously concerned but I guess Stephen Rimmer Solicitors aren't bothered.
I really wish I hadn't used them

Sold my house today after a year of trying to shift it. 1 buyer fell through, and various other unavoidable issues that come with selling a property with an ex-partner, and here we are!
Roy & Daphne were imperative to the sale of the property. I dealt mainly with Daphne, and no question was too much, no request seen as 'silly'. She was a star throughout the entire process, and really helped to alleviate any stress I had.
Daphne kept communication up throughout the entire time, and ensured that everything went smoothly.
Thank you so much to both of you, and the whole team at Stephen Rimmer. A whole years worth of work at such a reasonable price. I would 10/10 recommend.

Although the flat purchase was completed efficiently there was a lack of communication throughout the process, with phone calls and emails not responded to as quickly as I had hoped. This led to unnecessary anxiety.

I used Stephen Rimmer LLP to sell one flat and buy another. Leta and her team were both knowledgable and efficient espicailly concerning the recent changes involving the Building Safety Act. I was also very pleased with the information they gave upfront on costs including their fee which was competitve and also on a 'no completion, no fee basis'. I do recommend them for anyone buying or selling .....

Disappointing service
We were advised that we could be supported with our debt claim against a third party, all the advice was positive which gave us real hope and confidence. We provided all the information, carried out the ID checks and right at the last minute we were told you couldn’t act for us as the compliance and risk team flagged as ‘high risk’. Understandably we asked for an explanation and had absolutely no feedback. If you can provide the evidence/reasoning then we will gladly remove the post. At least we are not still tackling our predicament blindly!
