Step Teachers has been a great stepping stone for me into education. After doing a level 1 TA course through my local job centre I went to step teachers with little to no experience. They got me supply work and helped me through everything. A year and a half later I've got a full time, permanent role in a local school. I wouldnt of been able to do it without step teachers.

It's great to be able to try out different schools, year groups etc.

I made an application for TA position but due to my limited experience I couldn’t get it but instead of just dropping my CV Step Teachers decided that with my qualifications I will be much suited for another position. I have thoroughly enjoyed working for step teachers. 4 years on and still able to get work and know that I am always supported. Rachel(plymouth) has been brilliant to work for, not only has she made sure i have had shifts, and always keeping me updated with my positive feedback from schools, she has been someone that I can also talk to and confide in. I recently started working as a Teaching Assistant through Step Teachers, and I’ve had a really great experience. This was my first job in this field, and they supported me a lot from the beginning. They provided helpful training, arranged temporary placements at first, and later helped me secure a longer-term contract.
