Smooth, exemplary service. No hassle, great service from a prestige motor company.
Kept me updated throughout, additional work was explained before commencing.
Very happy with the outcome of work completed and price.
Service advisor very helpful
Mare sure when you say something make sure it's true not the lies I got!
Very professional service from start to finish. I had a book and wait appointment and an office was provided for me to work on my laptop so the time did not impact on my working day.
As always five star experience due to attentive knowledgeable staff who are a pleasure to deal with
Avoid at all costs, buy from an alternate dealer who acts with care.
In March 2026, I purchased a Mercedes-Benz Approved Used A-Class from this dealership. Within three months, the vehicle suffered a major mechanical failure requiring a fuel injector replacement.
Just two months later, in August, it suffered ANOTHER serious breakdown, leaving me stranded for hours awaiting recovery. The vehicle was recovered to Mercedes-Benz Leeds, where it has remained ever since.
Leeds identified concerns involving another injector, contamination of the diesel particulate filter (DPF) and associated components, with potentially further repairs required.
Having experienced two major breakdowns within five months of purchase, covering only approximately 3,000 miles, I sought to reject the vehicle under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Mercedes-Benz Wakefield refused to accept rejection.
Instead, senior management proposed an alternative settlement: repair the vehicle at no cost to me and provide an additional 12 months’ Mercedes-Benz Approved Used Warranty.
Crucially, Wakefield had already confirmed IN WRITING that the warranty had responded and repairs could proceed at no cost. I accepted the proposed settlement following discussions with management, confirmed my acceptance in writing and authorised Leeds to proceed.
Almost TWO MONTHS later, my vehicle remains unrepaired.
I have now discovered that the warranty provider has rejected the claim, citing soot and carbon accumulation (surely soot is expected in a DPF?)
Astonishingly, the rejection had apparently been known for several days, yet nobody contacted me. I only discovered this because I personally telephoned Mercedes-Benz Leeds for an update.
Throughout this ordeal, I have endured hours awaiting recovery, countless telephone conversations, repeated chasing, prolonged uncertainty and an extraordinary lack of accountability.
To be clear, Mercedes-Benz Leeds is the repairing dealership. My principal complaint is with Mercedes-Benz Wakefield, which sold me the vehicle, refused rejection and offered the alternative settlement.
I paid a large sum of my own money to an authorised Mercedes-Benz retailer, expecting quality, reliability and professional aftersales service. Instead, I’ve experienced repeated breakdowns and a seemingly endless dispute over responsibility.
The impact on my time, finances and wellbeing has been significant. Mercedes Wakefield have made me ill.
I have now escalated the matter to Lithia / Stratstone UK’s senior leadership and Mercedes-Benz UK, and am pursuing independent dispute resolution, with legal proceedings being prepared if required.
My request remains simple: accept rejection of the vehicle, or honour the agreed repairs and additional warranty at no cost to me.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Mercedes-Benz Wakefield. The aftersales experience has been atrocious. Protect your health and go somewhere else…
I will update this review if a satisfactory resolution is reached.
We had an appointment to drive an A Class today, but the sales person wasn’t around when we arrived and another customer was just driving off in the vehicle.
We were told by another member of the sales team that it was our fault for not paying the reservation fee. That’s not practical for us because this car will replace a company car which is going back soon - but we aren’t sure when. All of this was explained to the sales guy (Jordan) when booking the appointment.
If it wasn’t for her bad attitude and lack of apology, we may have stayed to drive an alternative vehicle.
Maybe we should have realised there isn’t a focus on customer service when the first sales person we spoke to asked us to come in midweek to fit with her hours, despite us requesting a weekend test drive.
I purchased an approved used Mercedes GLE in January 2024 which had an underlying fault when purchased.
Only 8 days after collecting the car it first displayed the fault - it wouldn’t start. Mercedes Roadside attended and got it going however in March the fault occurred again.
Stratstone took the car in for repair but failed to repair it, and in June 2024 it faulted again and this time went to Mercedes Doncaster however they again failed to repair the car. I tried to exercise my right to reject the vehicle but was refused due to ‘no fault being found’ - unbelievable.
The fault has persisted ever since and when the car failed to start with my wife and three young children in the car on a busy road I tried to take things further.
Stratstone diagnosed a faulty starter relay this time which I paid to replace however the fault persisted and in June 2026 they took the car in for wiring checks.
4 months later in September 2026 they told me they had found the root cause of the issue, confirmed in writing this was the same fault present when I purchased the car, and repaired the car for me at their expense.
1 week after collection the same fault occurred again.
This time they have refused to look at the car and it is now left immobilised on my drive.
They were happy to take my £50,000 when I purchased the car, but ever since then the service has been nothing short of appalling.
Avoid at all costs - I wouldn’t recommend them to my worst enemy.
The lady on the front desk is always very helpful, friendly and polite.
was looked after and treated very well staff are a credit to your branch
Overall, I was very happy with the service received. The team were polite and helpful and my car was serviced in accordance to the schedule. The only reason I have not given 5 stars is due to the cleanliness of the courtesy car provided. The GLA had crumbs on the seats and the centre console was sticky and food was stuck to these sections.
Just had a pleasurable experience purchasing a car with Kieron Addams from the sales team from a recent visit to view a car.
I made a choice of a sporty A180 and paid the deposit after a test drive. After a nights pondering, i realised that i had made a mistake as i needed something more practical. Kieron fully understood my decision and re did all the required paperwork and documents without any issues.
He also assisted in setting up the Mercedes app and linked it to my phone. I had full communication with him from email and phone calls all through the process which made the whole purchasing experience with him easy and a pleasure.
Everything happen as it should have. Very approachable knowledgeable people
