Good customer service!
Even though I have not received my order, I am very satisfied with how it was handled by the webshop (especially Marc). I thought it was very professional and they really thought along. I received my money back and received a discount code for my next order.

So. Much. Plastic.
The good:
* Lovely selection of socks
* Quick dispatch
The bad:
* Each pair of socks was individually packaged a clear plastic bag (with "Super Fat Laces & Socks" branding). This is completely unnecessary and wasteful
* The entire package came in a plastic mailer (most shops do this, but it's still frustrating)
I had my eyes on a few other pairs of Gumball Poodle socks, but I'll have to find another stockist (one that hopefully does not use so much unnecessary packaging).

Some places indeed recycle this type of plastic, but it's not widely recycled. Moreover, it is widely known that most of the plastic we put in the recycling bin actually winds up in landfill, so it's best to avoid producing that waste in the first place. Also, how many people do you know that collect and recycle soft plastic wrappers like these?
As business, you have the opportunity to make a difference by not contributing to the plastic pollution that is plaguing our planet. Shifting the responsibility of making the ethical choice to the consumer is not sustainable: most people simply will not bother!
I realise that no business is perfect, and I appreciate you taking the time to respond here, but shipping socks shouldn't involve so much waste: there are other ways to protect the socks in your warehouse (such as reusable plastic storage bins/boxes). I receive plenty of mail in paper packaging, and it's never arrived wet, even when it was rainy outside! This is a solvable issue, and other companies somehow seem to manage without so much plastic...

Sorry to hear you weren't happy with the service. As shown on the packaging, it is safe for recycling. We made sure of that.
Also, we put the socks in packaging, due to them being on shelves in a warehouse. We don't want dust collecting on them. This also helps for deliveries, to protect the socks from getting wet and damp, if it rains, like it is doing a lot right now.
You are more than welcome to request the socks arrive with no packaging, but we are just making sure you receive the freshest socks, that aren't layered in dust or damp when you receive them.

Excellent customer service.
Went above and beyond with customer service. Actually delivered the products themselves being local and a post strike imminent. Also quick responses to emails from Marc and the boss was on delivery.
