Tandoori Lounge Avis 12

Ordered on ubereats from this place for the first time because the lady who runs it has Coeliac which I do too. Ordered, then immediately spoke to the lady on the phone and she filled me in on their procedures for gf. Food arrived and was labelled as gf. It was very spicy but tasted fine. 2 hrs later I was projectile vomiting into the toilet so was clearly glutened as this is what happens on the rare occasions that I've been glutened. I felt so ill all night and my husband had to give me 2 emergency crisis injections as I have Addisons disease as well as Coeliac disease. I am very wobbly today but all of the food came out, there was none left as I was vomiting up to this morning. I'm gutted because it's so good to hear of restaurants offering gluten free food which is a necessity for Coeliacs. Too many restaurants just do vegan and vegetarian which is just a food choice but gluten free food is miles more important so I was really looking forward to it. But sadly I won't be eating there again as it's too risky.

Eight of us went to tandoori lounge tonight and all I can say that not only the food but the service too was just brilliant. I take my hat of to the lovely couple who own the place . Thank you so much for the lovely evening. I will be visiting your place very soon. Once again thank you so much.

Went to Tandoori Lounge Hornchurch for a Quiz Night which included a two course meal. We booked a table of two but was put on a table for 6, tried to separate the tables, the male owner wasn't too happy but agreed to do so. We were then told that we had to remain partnered with the other members on the table for the quiz which hadn't been communicated when purchasing tickets. I must say here that our partners on the table were great so we were very happy we were partnered with them!

The Quiz, atmosphere and food were great, no complaints, well executed.

My complaint is that we had bought a bottle of wine only and when we asked for the bill, it came with a service charge of £2.50 which I disputed. The waitress taking payment said she couldn't take it off the bill as it has to be paid. I again said that its supposed to be optional and she went to speak to the lady Owner who came over and said the service charge is payable. I asked why and explained that we had only bought a bottle of wine and there shouldn't be a charge on it, and she actually said, was it served at your table, shouldn't my staff be paid for that?? Tried to explain it again but she was not having any of it just repeated that its to be paid. Have never come across a rude front of house owner like this before!! Paid the full bill because it seemed to be getting out of hand and she was not willing to take it off but informed her that I will be putting in a review, she said, go ahead! Will never be going to this restaurant again. No customer service at all!! Nothing on website to say that service charge is payable other than for tables of 6 and over!!

The food is always excellent and Sukh and the team are great!

Great authentic Panjabi food from Tandoori Lounge. None of this fake Bangladeshi "Indian" curry that litters Essex.

Service is good and prices are reasonable given the location.

Right hear me out, an authentic punjabi restaurant, based in the heart of Hornchurch and I had absolutely no idea about it?!

We visited here for NYE with some work colleagues and were left amazed by the quality of each dish. Admittedly, our friend who is punjabi, ordered for the table and its safe to say, nothing was left behind.

Special comments for the TL special Lamb which was super tender and the Fiery Calamari which was brilliant.

The staff were young but knowledgable in regards to the dishes which was refreshing and we also met Honey, the owner who was also lovely and catered for my friend who is celiac which again, was very refreshing.

Thanks for a lovely NYE and we'll be sure to be back!

Visited this establishment in Hornchurch for New Year’s Eve. I would like to thank Sukh & Honey (the owners) for their great hospitality and amazing food!

Our waiters attended to our special requests for each dish as we had a few vegetarians along with a Celiac on our table and they were brilliant.

Would definitely recommend this to anyone in the London/Essex Area looking for authentic Punjabi food in a polished atmosphere!

Avoid this restaurant at all costs. The owner was so rude! Waiting over 2 hours just for our starters which were cold and tasteless. Owner was purely there for the money. When we finally got our food it was awful. Topping our night off when we received the bill more items were added onto it which we never ordered.

Amazing food and great hospitality every time!

Visited yesterday with my partner and was a very nice experience with very helpful and nice staff. Felt very comfortable and the food was great with some amazing help from the waitress.

Went there for a charity quiz night. Food was fabulous - don't miss the cheese paneer!
