Tenders are to vague on specification…the SIC Codes are a blunder buster approach
Tenders are to vague on specification and waste to much time trying to work on tender documents.

In relation to vagueness of the specifications, that is not something in our control, that would be up to the buyer who writes the advertisement, for further details there will be a link to the full bid documents.
SIC codes are not used in the public sector by the buyers to try and highlight elements of a tender. They may use CPV codes, these can be extremely generic and most times the buyers would use the wrong code, this is why we do not rely on using these codes to search for tenders.

There have been no suitable tender opportunities for us - it is not good value for money. We won't be renewing. The staff have always been polite and helpful.

Leanne Geddes is a star.
Just joined our organisation in April and added to Tenders Direct as a new company user. Received an email straight away from our account manager introducing herself and then offering an online training session.
I just wish other companies were as pro active as you, I now feel in a better position to get value out of the service because I have a greater understanding of the platform as a whole.

Advanced Bid Writing
I took part in Advanced Bid Writing and found it really useful. Jamie provided great tips on how to structure bids and make them easy to read for assessors as well as how to dissect tender documentation to structure the best possible answer. I would recommend this for anyone who is new to bid writing or a seasoned professional that wants to brush up on their skills. Our group was mixed in terms of experience, and I found it really useful learning from my peers within the session.

Great intro to public sector bids
Great introduction to public sector bid process, terminology etc. Could have bee an pretty stable subject, but Andrew managed to keep the pace right and got people engaged - tricky to do over Teams!

Social value is a subject that is often paid lip service to by both procurement and service deliverers. Jamie Edwards brought the significance of SV to the fore and right to the top of the board level agenda. Really enjoyed this course, interaction and engaging.
