Couldn't complete the full install
Spoke to the office and asked specifically if they could do all of the necessary coding to deactivate all the rear sensors, manoeuvring breaking and key fob (boot opening). They said that this would not be a problem. However, after fitting the tow bar, the fitter just informed me that he and no-one else could complete any coding to deactivate any sensors, manoeuvring breaking or key fob actions as VW don't allow access for 3rd party fitters. I would have to deactivate them all myself. That's possible to do with the manoeuvring breaking and only silence the rear sensors but it's not possible with key fob boot opening action. Meaning you could accidently activate the boot opening and the tailgate will open into my mounted bike rack. Really really unhappy and disappointed with this as had I known they weren't going to be able to complete the coding then I wouldn't have gone ahead with the install. And why the office stated that they could do the coding is factually untrue and very misleading.

Thank you for your review, coding on vehicle specific kits is carried out "where available" and not every make and model can be fully coded until the software is released by the manufacturer.
If you are unable to code then it is the vehicle manufacturer that have not released the software therefore nobody can code the car other than a direct dealer if they have this available.
This is industry standard practise and as we have previously stated we would be happy to complete the coding when the programme is made available.

Torque settings were confusing
Torque settings were confusing. There were two tables of settings giving two values for M10, with no clear indication which should be applied.

Easy from start to finish
Ordered online and the towbar came to the house , towsure was incontact to make sure it had arrived and a day for fitting.
Closer to the fitting day the fitter was in contact with a estimated time they would be here , came at time they said and took about two hours to fit towbar and wire the electrics , it all works as it should 👍
