eta received in 6 minutes.....amazing! (recenty we had a very harrowing situation requiring emergency travel to visit terminally ill relative. It took an agonizing 3+ days for AUS embassy to produce nothing but more grief and endless hours on the phone with no results. Lack of eta resulted in being refused boarding to sydney - we got so frustrated with the bureaucracy of the official process (despite drs letters stating terminal diagnosis) and started googling at 3am we were so desperate to get on the flight - found this site and got the ETA result almost immediately. Plane boarded within hours. A wonderful reassuring service will use this site from now on and avoid the Aus embassy site like the plague of uncaring, go-slow paper-pushers that they are. Shame on the official avenues and THANK YOU to TRAVEL VISA AUSTRALIA for saving the day and getting us on a later flight!!!! If only we had know about this site earlier then 3 days saved would have made the time difference between attending a relatives bedside instead of their funeral :-(

Simple Process but Confusing Upfront to the First Time Traveler
Process was very easy and worked out fine. Especially the linkage to the passport. The weakness, however, was lack of clarity in communicating the process to the first time traveler to Australia. For example, it was unclear whether or not you were a legitimate website related or not to the government. Also unclear whether or not the visa was going to be a document or not, that can be printed out. Us older travelers are comfortable having something in hand other than a email from a group that we have never worked with. Perhaps some basic information as to who you are, how the process works, and that no documents to be given out or required.
