Think before you buy.
I have been with True call since they launched and I love this product, but my review today does not change the 5 stars I want to give because what let's them down is trying to get help from True call support now!
Their phone numbers 99.99% of the time now never answers and you leave a voice message I never get a reply.
Also they never answer any emails I send.
In the ast one person mand their phone Isaac, who over the years was almost like a family member but he always delt with any issues.
But now if you try calling any of the three numbers I have they never pick up and even leaving a voice message they never reply.
They did change their office address but no one told any of their customers.
And try contacting the inventers now millionaires you get directed to the same numbers on their web site so that shows you how much they care about us as a customer.
They only concern is money and not customer service.
Product is still great but without great customer support and I'm getting older I would warn all new customers to be aware of the situation in 2025.
TrueCall stands as a superb phone…
TrueCall stands as a superb phone system. Our last unit was used effectively for 15 years and would still be operational, albeit for the fact that we had to upgrade because of the problematic BT Digital Voice switchover. Amusingly too, BT were clueless when we mentioned TrueCall to them. They had NO idea what it was that we were talking about. This item is worth every penny and the after sales service ( top man Nathan) has been second to none!
Unreliable service on Vonage and Panasonic KX-TGJ320E (Vonage advised this was compatible before buying it)
Couple of minutes into a call and I hear "one of your telephone handsets is off the hook....." This is truecall message. I have truecall secure, Vonage, and panasonic kx-tgj320e with truecall recording card fitted.
Sometimes I hear message "Memory card ready"
I have been onto truecall support for several months, tried 3 truecall units which they have sent me. All three of them fail
I have elderly parents who are at risk, hence need to have reliable phone service. Not one that goes down a few minutes into a call. The calls that are made are critical, one being a 999 call recently. (Imaging the phone going down in a medical emergency, I was worried that would happen)
I have left numerous answerphone messages and messages about this issue to no avail about a permanent fix. It's like it don't work just live with a box which is useless to me either plug it in and avoid scam calls and risk being cut off from calls coming in or going out or disconnect the thing and get scammers back.
Brilliant
Brilliant. A caller company in Northern Ireland known to Google as a scammer was intercepted multiple times in just one week as the numbers used were on their lists. I do not live in Northern Ireland.

My experience is regarding a unit not functioning??? It turned out to be nothing other than my abilities with equipment (i.e. Me not functioning). the gentleman whom I was in contact with was extremely polite, helpful and understanding given my rubbish knowledge as a not very tech minded O.A.P. 20 out of 10
Top notch company moving me from analogue to digital
I have recently upgraded by broadband at home and now have a digital line rather than analogue. I’ve had my Truecall machine for years and thought it would be too old to move over. I emailed the company asking the question and Nathan answered me. It was possible to update it and he did something my end I did weblinks mine. The day my digital line moved over I emailed Nathan again and he did something his end and I had to do a final weblink and everything is working perfectly. They could have said I needed a new machine but they didn’t, they updated the machine and did it quickly. An amazing top notch company and thank you Nathan for sorting it out.
A Great, Easy to Use, Call Blocker.
We have used a Truecall for over 15 years and without issue or problem. We have recently updated to Full Fibre and VOIP - so although the existing Truecall was still functioning well we decided that after c 15 years maybe a new one was a good idea. The new Truecall arrived overnight and was installed and working the same day. Nathan kindly remotely transferred our star (allow) and hash (block) lists to the new unit and advised that I terminate the free BT answerphone which was also done overnight by BT. So, everything was done and dusted within 24 hours of receipt. Customer Service was excellent. I highly recommend one of these, easy to use, units if you are plagued by junk calls or want to protect your elder family members from potential scams.
Does exactly as it says on the tin
Since installing a truecall unit on our landline we have gone from 15 to 20 unwanted calls a week to 1 in the last 6 weeks. Be aware that the unit has to call an 02 number once a week to be affective, if you have a call plan it is free but is you pay as you go then you will need to pay for this call.
Could not be happier with it.
Beware of HIDDEN costs
This was a brilliant product at first, TC blocked calls as expected.
However we switched to a lighter call plan as we dont use the phone line any more (who does?) and to our shock we discovered that truecall makes calls during the night at your expense. We have been charged approx £100 for the last 6 months.
Be very careful as this service could cost you big time.
I have itemised bills if anyone from Truecall wants to dispute this review, happy to share and remove if this is rectified.
My mother in law has dementia and is no longer stressed by scam calls
My mother in law has dementia and lives 3 hours away from my wife and I. She was getting very stressed receiving lots of silent and scam calls some of which said she owed money. We installed truecall and no scam calls have got through to her in over 4 years. We can also monitor and listen to any voice messages remotely via weblink. My mother in law does not know how to listen to voice messages. We can see who called. Well worth the money for her and our peace of mind.
Excellent company
Excellent company. Isaac helped us through setting up the system on our new BT digital phones. We used to have the earlier version on our Panasonic DECT phones. Even when that ( the old one) gave up after about 8 years a new one was sent at no cost. BRILLIANT and EXCELLENT Isaac.
Great Product
We bought the Truecall system in Jan 2021 as my Dad was being scammed regularly. It was easy to install and I love the online interface that allows us to manage everything remotely. This is a fantastic little device and service, I can highly recommend.
Customer service issues
I have had the truecall unit for a few years with no issues and it was immensely useful. After moving and taking the unit with us with a gap in use during that time the unit failed to connect and scrambled outgoing numbers on reconnecting. Numerous tests at an alternative land line also failed. Co operation was fine until I requested to send unit back for service. I never had a reply we were quite willing to pay for the service but without a return address we gave up with still over a years subscription left. Being an ex telecoms engineer I can see the frustration from the other side with poor customer service. I would have happily bought a new unit but I am far too wary now.
Excellent product, excellent support
I really can't fault this company, both from the functionality aspect of their product but also for the excellent support they give. My trueCall unit is one of the originals, so quite a few years old and recently my voice landline was "regraded" to digital/HD (also known as VoIP).
I noticed that after the landline upgrade, calls were being blocked or dropped by my old trueCall unit so I called and received instant support, via a simple & automatic software update, free-of-charge.
Although their update left me with 95% of the functionality intact, they offered to sell me a new unit that fixed the remaining, small problem completely, but gave me a loyalty discount.
If you or a vulnerable relative have a landline that is plagued by nuisance calls, this product will very simply remove the problem, without the user needing to have any technical knowledge. If help is needed to get it working, you can be sure of receiving excellent phone-based support.
Outstanding customer service support…
Outstanding customer service support received by my mother who was helped very patiently by Isaac to try and get her machine working with her new digital phone. Following his call she was able to identify the adapter she needed which turned out to have been provided by Virgin and she was delighted to have her call screening service back in place.
This device is fantastic
This device is fantastic - truly the only device on the market that works! Initially, I had an issue when Virgin Media upgraded my phone to VoIP but I contacted True Call support and they applied a change to my device within 2 days of my email and it’s working perfectly again 👍
Annoying silent - scam and cold calls are a thing of the past - thank god! 🙂
Stops scam calls in their tracks
I have to say this is a great product. My parents started getting so many scam calls and they nearly got caught out by one, that i needed to take action. I found true call online and had a chat with a lovely gentleman on the phone prior to purchasing. when the unit arrived i plugged it into my phone line and set it all up via the online web portal and the handset (to set the message) so it only allows trusted callers whos phone number is in the system. Every one else get a message to ring myself or enter their pin number, after i had fully tested truecall and was happy i then plugged it into my parents phone and set the system to auto update so my parents do not have to do anything, My parents and myself are much happier knowing only friends and family will only get through, and so far so good no more scam calls
Fastastic and knowledgeable support
Our Truecall was eight years old and didn't work with the new Virgin Media fibre phone that we've been switched to. A couple of really helpful conversations with Isaac, and a couple of WebLink updates later, it's working perfectly, just as before.

I have had a Truecall unit for some time. Excellent product. I would really like to thank Truecall Customer support and Isaac in particular for outstanding Service. Over the years I have had to log a couple of calls (or tickets) and Isaac has provided very knowledgeable support with understanding and great patience. Truecall should be proud of this employee.
A must have for anyone who is being harassed by cold callers.
We bought this as my mother, who had developed Alzheimers, was being constantly plagued and scammed by charities/insurance and other financial manipulators. It was obvious to us all that any call that 'got a result' financially on a call led to the phone number being sold on. On average my mother was receiving over 30 calls A DAY from these people.
We installed Truecall on the advice of her Alzheimers clinic, and within 24 hours, the calls ceased and peace was restored to her home. An amazing product that we, as a family, heartily endorse. Buy with confidence - it really does work!
