My Experience with TruPowur – Extremely Disappointing and Misleading S C A M!!!

I wish I had done more research before signing up with TruPowur. My experience has been incredibly disappointing, and I feel other prospective brokers deserve to know what they're getting into before handing over their money.

I paid TruPowur $500 upfront: a $100 setup fee and a $400 license fee. I was promised access to exclusive leads and an opportunity to build a business using their platform. What I received instead were phone numbers that could easily be found through a simple Google search. Hardly what I would consider exclusive leads or the value that was represented to me.

I was with the company for ONE DAY. I immediately realized this was not what I had been led to believe, and I canceled. I never once utilized the license I paid $400 for.

You would think that would be the end of it. Not so.

Now I'm being presented with a termination agreement demanding an additional early termination fee equal to 25% of my remaining contract balance. The document also states that they can continue billing $400 monthly until the balance is satisfied. On top of that, it includes five-year post-termination restrictions involving non-compete, non-solicitation, and non-disparagement, with potential contractual penalties of up to $100,000 per infraction.

Let that sink in. I paid $500, received essentially nothing of the value I was promised, canceled after ONE DAY, never used the license, and am now being pressured to sign an agreement with additional financial obligations and restrictions.

In my opinion, this business model raises serious concerns. Customers should understand exactly what they're signing, what they're paying for, what happens if they want to leave, and what they're actually receiving in return.

I would strongly encourage anyone considering TruPowur to read every single line of their agreement, ask very specific questions about cancellation fees, lead quality, licensing costs, and ongoing financial obligations, and get every promise in writing BEFORE paying anything.

My experience has been a costly lesson. I cannot recommend TruPowur based on what I experienced.

I paid a brokers fee of $500 to become a Broker with this business and once I paid my $500 to become a broker with this company, that's when they send you the contract. Matt D. Fox is the President/CEO08032026 and seems like a nice guy. However, the contract comes after you have sent your payment of $500. After reading the contract I felt the contract should come prior to paying your money. Once I read the contract, I never would have paid my $500 and knowing afterwards that I would only get a $250 refund. I quickly changed my mind and requested a refund immediately. I could only get half of my money back. Totally disappointed and somewhat angry. I think the program can be valuable. However, if you have nothing to hide, the contract should come prior to signing up with this company. We should stop giving our hard-earned money out without reading the contract first!!
