I was scammed by a broker and stolen over a million dollars in 2021. This was my lifetime work. A small portion of which was debt, $140,000 from creditors. I borrowed money from four creditors and some from colleagues. After losing all the capital, what I got is debt. I was planning to file bankruptcy, however, an attorney said that I am not qualified to do so since my income was/is over $80,000. The only option I got was debt settlement. I did a study to find out which debt settlement corp is the best without getting a scam again. Then, I met Ben Tejes at Ascend. Everything was done over text, emails, and calls without meeting in person due to covid. However, I was very anxious putting another money into a third-party accout. After 6 months working with him, we just got one deal discounted 50%, this was incredibly good news. Of course, my credit went down significantly aftermath. Now we are working on another debt, which is about $50,000 from Figure lending. My opinion about Ascend and service from Ben Trjes have been incredibly great! Highly recommended.

I reached out to Ascend to discuss bankruptcy options. Through their online site, they arranged for a bankruptcy attorney in my state, to contact me. While, I had a productive discussion with the local law firm, the person I spoke with was at a loss on how to proceed, as it was obvious that filing bankruptcy wasn't in my best interest, as I have significant equity in my home, which I didn't want to forfeit in the bankruptcy process. So the initial meeting really didn't produce any suitable alternatives. Within a day after my initial meeting, I received an email from Ben at Ascend, to confirm that I had spoken with an attorney that they referred, as well as my opinion on the results of the meeting. We exchanged several emails where I was able to describe the unusual, perhaps unique situation I was facing, and I expected these emails not to produce any positive direction forward. However, I was completely wrong about that. Rather than giving me the "sorry, not much I can do for you" story that I had received from 3 previous lawyers, that is when Ben's determination to produce a potential positive result for me, kicked into gear. I am currently following Ben's suggestions and hope to have positive results within the next couple weeks, which will allow me to avoid filing either Chapter 7 or 13!!!!! There's something admirable and motivating when having a discussion with someone who digs deeper, when the obvious solutions aren't the best methods. In my opinion, this is the sign of a true professional. While the words "No" and "Sorry" are easy answers to give in a difficult situation, a professional lawyer only gets motivated at the point where others are ready to bail.

Ascend was too good to be true. Ben has been amazing. Originally my husband and I were using FDR. FDR was horrible. They took an already stressful situation and made it worse. Their so called customer service was abhorrent. Their failure to make a payment after taking money from our account put us in in peril of having to pay a negotiated settlement in full with penalties, when all we had was one payment left. Although the situation was rectified by me.. All FDR’s manager had to say was well your the one who got yourself in the situation to need us! That was it. Thankfully Ben from Ascend had contacted me asking if he could pick my brain for some suggestions. We had an enjoyable conversation and at no time did he ask me to transfer our debt to him. After the 3rd fiasco with FDR I contacted Ben who took control and regonitated our remaining debt. So happy we have one more to go and Ascend has been a breath of fresh air.
